Obama was going to "fix" NAFTA. We saw how that worked out. Then there is TPP coming up.

Our municipality received a grant to develop programs and services to aid seniors. The town already has a bus that can take seniors shopping and such. There is a snow shoveling service provided by Seton Hall University students. There are free tickets to some events at the performing art center.
Does your community offer creative services for seniors that might be incorporated into our town program?

She is 97 and has spent the last 9 years I dementia care. She is in no pain or stress but her body is failing to the point that I am to go Monday to sign hospice papers - no further treatment that would aim towards curing anything.
Logically, it it right but it feels like I am signing her death warrant. It hurts.
There is relief that I will be able to sell her rental property which has been one big headache. That is the only good thing about this. Beyond it, I feel shitty.

I got a new car with a turbo-charger. (Yeah, I know. But it was the only way to get the full safety package.) Anyways, I never had a car with a turbo. When the car is going up a hill, there is a whine coming from the hood that sound like a small Banshee.
Is this a normal sound with a turbo? The dealer isn't open today.
If I open the hood latch and there is a Banshee in there, am I likely to get bitten?

This included the funeral preparation, viewing and casket. A burial plot was not included because my parents purchased a mausoleum slot for her and my father. She put 7k into the trust fund which was the amount to cover the cost of her final wishes. The trust for the payment of the funeral is held by the state.
Things looked bad this summer as she came down with pneumonia. I took the paperwork to the funeral home to see what arrangements she wanted and verify that the trust was intact. The value of the trust fund is now at 11k but the funeral will now cost $14k. Most of the difference is because the casket she wanted, now costs a few thousand more than when she selected it.
My choice is to pay the difference of 3k for a casket that would be used for two days and never be seen again or buy a casket over the internet for $900.
On one hand, I consider a $9,000 casket to be a waste of money. On the other hand, it is her last wish.
May I have your thoughts on this while the need for a decision is not emergent?

I live in Essex County, about 15 miles from Manhattan.
Bumper stickers --- only a few for Bernie. We tend not to want to mess up our cars.
Finally saw one for Hillary last week.
Lawn signs ---- innumerable ones for Bernie.
Yet to see one for Hillary.
