Pizza place owner went on spending spree with $600K in ppp $: upgrade farm, vehicles, spa, alpacas

Massachusetts pizzeria owner, 57, 'fraudulently obtained $600,000 in coronavirus relief funds and used the money to buy an ALPACA FARM, a $110,000 vintage convertible and a $2,200 spa trip'

He also bought at least two vehicles - including a 1950 Hudson and a GMC Sierra truck - and weekly airtime for a cryptocurrency-themed radio show that he hosted, prosecutors said. A 1950 Hudson Commodore convertible (like the one seen in the above file photo) is a rare, vintage car that is usually sold for upwards of $110,000

The federal government also alleges McIntyre bought a GMC Sierra truck (like the one seen above)

Dana McIntyre, 57, of Grafton, Vermont, was arrested and charged on Tuesday

Feds allege McIntyre, pizzeria owner, lied about size of business to get PPP loan

He allegedly obtained $600,000 in federal aid money for small businesses

McIntyre allegedly used money to buy and refurbish Vermont alpaca farm

He is also alleged to have bought $110,000 vintage 1950 Hudson convertible
McIntyre has denied the allegations, calling them 'plain utter bulls***'
'Can not wait for my day in court,' McIntyre wrote on his Facebook page Tuesday
McIntyre is also alleged to have used money to buy airtime for his radio show
McIntyre hosted Dana Crypto Show, 'the first FM radio show on cryptocurrency'
Show aired every Sunday night at 7pm on Boston's North Shore 104.9FM WBOQ
Radio station owner told DailyMail.com that show has been removed from air

Prosecutors said that on his PPP loan application, McIntyre falsified an official tax form and claimed the pizza shop had almost 50 employees with a monthly payroll of $265,000, when records indicate it had fewer than 10, in an effort to inflate the size of the loan he was entitled to.

After receiving the loan, he sold the pizza shop and used the money to purchase and upgrade a farm in Vermont and buy several alpacas, authorities said.

He also bought at least two vehicles - including a 1950 Hudson and a GMC Sierra truck - and weekly airtime for a cryptocurrency-themed radio show that he hosted, prosecutors said.

new trend... males want their own engagement rings

Grooms-to-be increasingly want their own engagement bling, a trend that Tiffany & Co. helped solidify when it debuted its first-ever men’s engagement line this month.

Tiffany’s platinum and titanium designs feature a single emerald-cut diamond, up to 5 carats, set in a knife-edge band in what the jewelry retailer described as a “bold departure from the traditional wedding band.”

Prices have not yet been revealed for the new designs, which are set to become available at the end of the month, but emerald-cut women’s engagement rings run from $2,900 to $113,500.

The luxury label first introduced its iconic, six-pronged Tiffany setting for ladies in 1886 — and betrothed bros took to social media to say the new collection was long overdue

NJ cop fired for post berating BLM protesters as 'terrorists'

A New Jersey police officer who wrote on Facebook that Black Lives Matter protesters are “terrorists” who couldn’t care less if she dies has been fired — a move ripped by her attorney as “pandering to the far left.”

Hopewell Township Police Officer Sara Erwin was terminated Friday via unanimous vote of the town committee, which accepted the recommendation of a hearing officer, NJ.com reported.

A second officer, Sgt. Mandy Grey, was demoted and suspended for six months for replying to a comment on Erwin’s June 2020 post, their attorney Frank Crivelli told The Post Tuesday.

“The fact that she supported her position as a fellow officer, that was the reason that they actually suspended her,” Crivelli said of Grey.

-------------

“I’ve seen so many black lives matter hashtags in these posts,” the post continued. “Just to let you know – they are terrorists. They hate me. They hate my uniform. They don’t care if I die.”

Six township employees, including five members of the police department, were put on leave for appearing to support Erwin’s post, The Trentonian reported in June.

Tennessee toddler stuck in antique wooden barrel freed with power saw

A 2-year-old Tennessee tot needed to be power-sawed out of an antique wooden barrel after he crawled inside and became stuck.

Dorian Strubing’s mom said the family was visiting grandparents in Portland, Tennessee, last Saturday when the curious toddler became wedged in the 25-pound barrel.

“Dorian loves to play with the barrel, he always loves playing with it, hiding toys in it and even trying to climb in,” Kelly Strubing told The Post.

“I think Dorian and the barrel weigh about the same,” she said with a laugh, adding that the 3-inch-thick wooden barrel has been in the family for a while.

When they weren’t able to get Dorian free, the family ended up in the emergency room — where firefighters and medical staff needed an X-ray machine to carefully guide the risky extraction.

Nurses gave Dorian a teddy bear to clutch while the X-rays determined where his hips, knees and feet were inside the barrel, Strubing said.

California woman who bought THREE of Italy's $1 houses warns about the REAL costs of renovating

not really surprised. surprised she won't have to spend more. that's how it works with $1 houses.

California woman who bought THREE of Italy's $1 houses warns about the REAL costs of renovating the budget properties and reveals she'll have to spend at least $60,000 - and all within three years

Solar consultant and business owner Rubia Daniels was one of the first to buy a bargain-priced house in Mussomeli, Sicily, in the spring of 2019

On her first-ever trip to Sicily, she bought three €1 houses — including two for her children

She later brought along friends and family to buy their own homes, and she intends to retire there
She made the purchase because of 'how the people make you feel and 'how welcoming the town was'

Daniels said others should do research before arriving; in Mussomeli, buyers must renovate within three years or face losing a reported €5,000 deposit
Renovations prices can range between €100 ($121) to €700 ($844) per square meter, and homes range from 11 to 190 square meters in size
She has spent $12,000 on one house so far and expects to spent about $20,000 per house

In recent years, Italian towns have been fighting depopulation by selling vacant homes for just €1 each — and one California woman decided it was such a good deal that she bought three of them.

Solar consultant and business owner Rubia Daniels was one of the first to buy a bargain-priced house in Mussomeli, Sicily, in the spring of 2019, and went on to buy two more for her children.

Daniels later returned with a group of friends and family, several of whom bought their own Sicilian houses, and she now plans to retire in the town, which sits two hours southeast of Palermo.

NJ Teacher Suspended and Under Investigation for Cursing at Black Students While Calling George Floy

NJ Teacher Suspended and Under Investigation for Cursing at Black Students While Calling George Floyd a 'Criminal'

In what turned out to be a Zoom class unlike any other, students at Dickinson High School said their teacher gave them a profane rant — and a lesson in hate. A discussion on climate change devolved as teacher Howard Zlotkin aired his grievances with the students.

“If you think I’m privileged then f—- you, because my daughter thinks I’m privileged and I don’t speak to her,” he was seen saying in a recording of the online class session. At one point he started yelling and cursing at one student.

Timmia Williams, a 17-year-old senior, said the landscape and design teacher seemed to focus on Black students, sharing his thoughts on the killing of George Floyd.

“I hear people whining and crying about Black Lives Matter, but George Floyd was a f——-g criminal and he got arrested and he got killed because he wouldn’t comply and the bottom line is we make him a f——-g hero,” Zlotkin is heard saying in a recording.
