Mescalero is just recovering from recent fires and flooding when they discovered two pieces of art were taken surreptitiously.

The Diocese acknowledges taking them, claiming they belong to the church. The current priest has called them pagan.

Who Palestinian prisoners are
I kept asking my husband who the Palestinian prisoners are, what their charges are as the exchange is being discussed because he watches more news than do.
I’m sickened to learn that 3,000 of the 8,300 Palestinians in Israel’s prisons are held in what Israel calls ‘administrative detention’. This means they are held without knowing what the charges are against them and without any ongoing legal remedies, any legal process.
I can only imagine the frustration, fear, growing anger, rage at this Kafka-Esque situation.

After offering to give the invocation before our County Committee meeting and using legal threats since theirs are all ‘Lord Jesus blah blah Jesus God blah blah Jesus’.. I finally got to yesterday. I included Pride..
My invocation was inclusive and I added the importance of Pride month.
And for the first time ever, they gave a second invocation. Bastards. I’m calling them on it and recruiting folks to volunteer for giving the first or second invocation.

Graduated from HS in El Paso in 1969. Bobby Fuller and his folks lived a few houses down so we heard them practice in their garage. I attended dances. I loved Bobby Fuller.
Mr. duhneece listens to Morning Joe, who regularly plays clips of decent music. I told husband that we would be hearing ‘I Fought the Law…’ for sure. Within 5 minutes, we heard it.

Our Democratic candidates didn't win in our very red county but, again, we had a (mostly) full ticket. We know we can't win if we don't run.
I've made it my mission to run when I can, recruit and work for our candidates, up and down ballot.
I was electioneering yesterday and Cowboys for Trump Couy Griffin tried to block my car and give me (verbal) grief. I called for help. Help arrived and they left. I'll follow up with law enforcement within days. I've already requested a police report for an attack on one of our canvassers.
Omaha Steve is actually responsible for my running, recruiting others to run and supporting us all the way. Thank you, OS. I am so grateful to this DU hero, angel, brother.
We have met so many younger women and lgbtq folks in our community and we will regroup and improve our strategy for next election.

Jim Jordan appears here tonight with election-denier Congresswoman
We bought signs and social media ads with DU fundraising so we stopped. We had enough and there are so many other national and local candidates that still need your help.
This is just a quick rant: Jim Jordan is in Alamogordo tonight with Congresswoman Yvette Herrell. We plan a protest/rally for Democratic candidate Gabe Vasquez. I want a sign that says, 'National Pedophile Protector appears with local Pedophile Protector.'
I wrote a rant that I'm considering handing out (the documents don't show here) but it may be a lack of sleep and rage at these people:
"I was fine when Amy Barela chose to run for County Commissioner. I had seen court records that her husband was a pedophile but I don’t think a woman should be held guilty of a crime her husband committed … it did, however, raise a small red flag of alertness and seemed inappropriate, normalizing pedophilia. Then, I got a phone call during the ‘audit’ that a pedophile had come to the door of a woman too afraid to complain. I spoke at a County Commission meeting March 10, 2022 warning of pedophiles being volunteers....I went from being alert to being concerned when I saw that Amy was cited for animal cruelty after two visits.
A pedophile at the Republican booth at our county fair was reported, but protected by local Republicans.
That crossed a line. Now, a nationally known protector of pedophiles, Jim Jordan, appears with local pedophile protectors."
I'm scared of the concept of Republicans winning and pissed at my fear. Whew.
