whopis01's JournalSomething seems different about one of these guys (Tyre Nichols)
I just can't quite put my finger on what is different here. They were all involved in the beating death of Tyre Nichols - but something is slightly different about one of them.

Wendy Rogers swings and misses against Superman
https://twitter.com/WendyRogersAZ/status/1447666540732637190
Being that upset by a comic book character is bad enough by itself.
But what I really want to know more about this fine gentleman, Louis Lane.
So far all I know is that Superman loves him. Period.
Dolly Parton reacts to Lil Nas X's cover of Jolene
https://www.cnn.com/2021/10/01/entertainment/dolly-parton-lil-nas-x/index.htmlI love Dolly Parton - she is awesome.
And his cover is great.
I love the butterflies on the mic stand too. I'm sure it is a reference to "Love is Like a Butterfly"
Spoiler alert: Arizona "recount" finds Biden won (bigger)
Source: Axios
In an odd coda to the 2020 election, private contractors conducting a GOP-commissioned recount in Arizona confirmed President Bidens win in Maricopa County, according to a draft report obtained by The Washington Post.
The twist: The tally actually gives President Biden a slight edge over the official results.
The findings: "After nearly six months and almost $6 million," The Post reports, "the draft report shows that the review concluded that 45,469 more ballots were cast for Biden in Maricopa County than for Trump, widening Bidens margin by 360 more votes than certified results."

The strangers who fell in love when 9/11 diverted their flight
I just read this article and enjoyed it so much I wanted to share it.
https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/nick-diane-marson-come-from-away-chance-encounters/index.html
The short story is that two strangers on flight from the UK to Houston which was diverted into Newfoundland on 9/11 ended up falling in love and getting married. The best part is how amazing the Newfoundlanders were (and I sure still are).
Galapagos rock formation Darwin's Arch has collapsed
https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/galapagos-darwins-arch-collapses/index.html
"Unfortunately today, our guests of the Galapagos Aggressor III experienced a once in a lifetime event," the company shared.
"This morning at 11:20 a.m. local time, the world famous Darwin's Arch collapsed in front of their eyes.
"Some in the dive & travel industry are already referring to this now as 'The Pillars of Evolution'. We will miss this iconic site."

I like the new title The Pillars of Evolution though I think The Missing Link would work as well.
Trump is giving Presidential Medals of Freedom to golfers today. Seriously - He is doing that today
https://golfweek.usatoday.com/2021/01/07/trump-annika-sorenstam-gary-player-presidential-medal-freedom/What the fuck is going on? How is he still in office?
Maybe Trump is right. We should stop the counting now
If places cant have their votes counted by now then they shouldnt count, right?
It looks like Biden is leading by 100% right now.
