I had held it together until now...

When they interviewed Dawn's (the principal) family. Dawn was a hero!

I can't stop crying!

I crocheted this cute Democratic Donkey for TrogL...

I was criticized on FB for not adding the stars and using the wrong blue.

Government Free VJJ Project

I first heard about this on Twitter and it has snowballed. I know it may seem strange to use knitting or crocheting as a way to become an activist however I think it is entirely appropriate...I hope you do to

From the Website and Ravelry Group:

Snatchel Campaign: Let’s knit a uterus for each male rep in congress. If they have their own, they can leave ours alone!

Whether you are a Democrat, a Republican, or Independent, please join us in sending a strong message to our government representatives.

We are women, we are strong, we are smart. And we have a sense of humor. We do not need you interfering with our healthcare. We do not need you probing our vaginas to help us make decisions about abortion. We do not need you to give us guidance about whether or not to take birth control. We do not need misogynistic pundits calling us sluts and prostitutes. We are half of the population and we will not be treated as children or a disenfranchised minority.

Tell the male government representatives: “Hands off my uterus! Here’s one of your own!” Knit or crochet a vagina or uterus and send it to your male representative, and print a message to enclose. Don’t forget to thank your representative if he respects women and supports our rights.

Not sure if anyone has heard about this...TrogL just shook bis head when I told home.
