Anyone familiar with the Problem Solvers Caucus?

I’m asking because my new Democratic Congressman has joined them.

Does Barr need 60 votes for confirmation?

Or just 50?

Either way, no Democrat should vote to confirm him.

Trump brushes off Ocasio-Cortez. She responds by hitting the president where it hurts.

Trump brushes off Ocasio-Cortez. She responds by hitting the president where it hurts.

By Allan Smith

Freshman Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hit President Donald Trump where it hurt on Monday — mocking his wealth — after the president had dismissed her recent comments about him with a "who cares?"

Trump was asked on the White House lawn about Ocasio-Cortez calling him a racist during a "60 Minutes" interview earlier this month in which the New York lawmaker said there was "no question" the president was racist. Trump responded, "Who cares?"

Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter to respond soon after.

In a follow-up tweet, Ocasio joked that the 70 percent marginal tax rate she suggested be implemented on earning in excess of $10 million would not apply to Trump — who claims to be a billionaire — because he "probably hasn't made more than $10 million in years."

Oddly, I always assumed that whenever Trump saw AOC his only thought was "wife number 4".

The U.S. has never elected 4 consecutive 2 term Presidents

There have been 3 consecutive 2 term Presidents but only twice; Jefferson, Madison & Monroe and Clinton, Bush & Obama. But there have never been 4 consecutive 2 term Presidents.

Doesn't mean that it is impossible but it does go against the historical trend.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Responds to Fox Business Guest Calling Her 'The Little Girl'

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Responds to Fox Business Guest Calling Her ‘The Little Girl’

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded today to a comment from Lou Dobbs guest Ed Rollins about her on Fox Business last night.

Dobbs and Rollins were discussing Rashida Tlaib‘s “impeach the motherfucker” comment when Rollins said this:

“We have an enormous class of women who have been elected… Some really interesting people and some really smart people. If you’re gonna put her out front, with her mouth, when she now has the attention she’s never had before, and you’re gonna put the little girl who wants to do pre-Reagan economics and 70% taxes, the Democrat women are gonna basically be damaged badly.”

The “little girl” he’s talking about is Ocasio-Cortez, who has floated taxing the super-wealthy up to 70% to pay for a “Green New Deal” proposal.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Responds to Comments from Claire McCaskill: ‘Pretty Disappointing’

Congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded today after comments about her from outgoing Democratic senator Claire McCaskill.

McCaskill gave an interview to CNN this week wherein she said Republican lawmakers privately admit President Donald Trump is “nuts,” but she also made news in questioning why Ocasio-Cortez is “the thing” and “a bright and shiny new object” for Democrats.

....
Ocasio-Cortez responded on Twitter today, calling McCaskill’s comments “disappointing” and saying what Republicans admit in private means nothing:
