Tonight I found I have a fatal flaw as a parent...

I treasure my child more than life itself, but I still don't like kids in general.

Dick Cheney: Family feud over gay marriage has been ‘dealt with’

Former Vice President Dick Cheney said this week that the family feud between his daughters over gay marriage has been “dealt with.”

Mr. Cheney said he was surprised that his daughter Mary, who is a lesbian and married to a woman, aimed fire at Liz, who is running for the Senate in Wyoming and opposes gay marriage, ABC News reported.

“We were surprised that there was an attack launched against Liz on Facebook and wished it hadn’t happened,” Mr. Cheney said at the National Press Club, ABC News reported. “It’s always been dealt with within the context of the family and frankly that’s our preference.”

The spat between Mr. Cheney’s two daughters flared up last month after Liz defended herself on Fox News Sunday against allegations that she supported same-sex marriage, saying she supported traditional marriage.

Xbox One owners find way to watch porn on the console

The Xbox One is hailed as the all-in-one answer to our entertainment needs and now it is able to satisfy the most carnal of cravings as users have found a way to watch pornography on the console, as reported on Digital Trends.

Adult entertainment company SugarDVD delivers streaming adult movies in a similar fashion to that of Quickflix through the Xbox One web browser, giving unlimited access to hundreds of titles for a monthly subscription fee.

The SugarDVD app has been available on the PS3 and Wii and now comes to the Xbox One after the company stated the console was superior.

Anyone who is worried about adult content being seen by children won't have to worry though as the Xbox One privacy and security settings allow you to put in place filters that block sites with explicit content or you haven't approved.

Ex-GOP Operative Named Next Israeli Ambassador

Just when it seemed to be fading away, Prime Minister Netanyahu’s reputation for meddling in American partisan politics got new attention this week with his decision to name as his ambassador in Washington a former Republican operative who promoted his bromance last year with Mitt Romney.

He picked his close confidante Ron Dermer to replace Amb. Michael Oren, who according to some reports, wanted to stay but was forced out by Dermer’s desire for the job. Oren, an American-born historian, has served four years and was considered popular and effective.

Dermer, who has a reputation as bright, brash and abrasive, likes to boast about his closeness to Netanyahu. He is "rumored to be the one responsible for news stories about Obama's snub of Netanyahu during his 2010 White House visit. And Obama administration officials believe he was behind Netanyahu’s perceived tilt toward Mitt Romney in last year’s presidential election," according to JTA.

His involvement in Republican politics goes back two decades to the 1994 Republican Revolution led by Newt Gingrich and his ties to the neo-conservative movement. He was closely associated with last year’s Romney campaign and Republican politics while working for Netanyahu, according to published reports.

Man killed in San Francisco over PlayStation 4 game console

Dec. 2 (UPI) -- A young man hoping to make a few bucks by selling his PlayStation 4 game console after placing an online ad was shot and killed by an unknown gunman on Sunday afternoon while trying to make the sale.
After being contacted by the potential buyer, the seller and his girlfriend drove from Hayes Valley to an agreed upon location in the Bayview District.

The couple, both 22, hadn't even exited the vehicle when the gunman robbed them of the Sony gaming system. They gave up the console without a struggle, but the man was still shot several times and died after being taken to the hospital.

“They drove away from the scene as soon as they could,” SFPD Lt. Tim Plyer told KTVU. “And they were able to get hold of a police officer who gave them aid and called for an ambulance.”

The victim’s girlfriend was uninjured. They had listed the popular PS4 for $600, which would have provided a $200 profit.

Conservative to Challenge Collins in Maine Primary

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) _ Republican Sen. Susan Collins won't be unopposed on the primary ballot.

The head of a group that opposed same-sex marriage in Maine says he will offer a conservative voice in the GOP primary. Erick Bennett, director of the Maine Equal Rights Center, said he was filing his paperwork Monday.

Bennett accused Collins of supporting legislation that undercut the Second Amendment and criticized her for supporting Common Core Standards, which his group says erodes local control of curriculum.

A Collins spokesman didn't immediately return messages seeking comment.

Netanyahu Gives Pope A Book About Spanish Inquisition

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu brought Pope Francis a copy of a book about the Spanish Inquisition when the two of them met on Monday, according to the Associated Press.

The book was written by the prime minister's late father, Ben-Zion Netanyahu. Netanyahu also gave the pope a silver menorah.

According to a description on Amazon, the elder Netanyahu's book argued the Inquisition "gave birth to an anti-Semitism based on race that would have terrible consequences for centuries to come."

Netanyahu inscribed the front page of the copy he gave to the pope, "To his Holiness Pope Franciscus, a great shepherd of our common heritage."

Biased ABC News Refuses to Believe That the Obamacare Website is Fixed

The mainstream media is taking the news that the ACA website is fixed very badly today, but few are taking it worse than biased ABC News. ABC is refusing to admit that the site is fixed.

ABC News used the headline “White House Declares Obamacare Website Fixed, But Problems Persist,” which basically accused the White House of lying about the status of the ACA website.

The problem is that ABC’s own story contradicts their biased headline.

ABC based their headline on the fact that the website has a downtime rate of 5%. Most website owners will tell you that they want 100% uptime, but that is unrealistic. Every website is going to fail or go down at some point, so the most realistic expectation is for 99%+ uptime. The ACA website is at 95%, which is a gigantic improvement from the 40% uptime rate when the site launched.

Republican voices concern about data security on Obamacare website

As the Obamacare administration claimed new success in getting its health care enrollment web site running, Republican opponents of the Affordable Care Act renewed their criticism Sunday.

“The most important part of this discussion that nobody talks about,” Rep. Mike Rogers, R- Mich., said on NBC’s Meet the Press, is that “the security of this site” and its ability to safeguard health and income information “does not meet even the minimal standards of the private sector.”

He argued that Americans “should not tolerate the sheer level of incompetence securing this site. And remember how much personal information is not only there, but all of the (federal government data) sites that the (healthcare.gov) hub accesses would expose Americans’ personal information in a way that is breathtakingly bad.”

Meanwhile the Obama administration said in a report released Sunday that the HealthCare.gov website is now functioning most of the time. The administration report said more than 50,000 people can log on to the website at once and the system is showing decreased error rates and improved response times for people who try to use it to buy health insurance.
