Xbox One owners find way to watch porn on the console

The Xbox One is hailed as the all-in-one answer to our entertainment needs and now it is able to satisfy the most carnal of cravings as users have found a way to watch pornography on the console, as reported on Digital Trends.

Adult entertainment company SugarDVD delivers streaming adult movies in a similar fashion to that of Quickflix through the Xbox One web browser, giving unlimited access to hundreds of titles for a monthly subscription fee.

The SugarDVD app has been available on the PS3 and Wii and now comes to the Xbox One after the company stated the console was superior.

Anyone who is worried about adult content being seen by children won't have to worry though as the Xbox One privacy and security settings allow you to put in place filters that block sites with explicit content or you haven't approved.

Nintendo has a LONG history of being puritanically "family values" about everything on their consoles. To the point where they have chose to lose money instead of let certain violent and or sexual content on their systems in the past.

No More Heroes and Manhunt 2 were exclusive to the Wii and they were both extremely violent, in fact Manhunt 2 may be the single most violent game of the last generation. The Gamecube had Eternal Darkness which was even published by Nintendo themselves rather than a third party and that was an extremely twisted and disturbing game, it is arguably the scariest game of all time.

I do know what you are saying however because despite the extremely violent games they have allowed on their system they still do censor others. The Binding of Isaac was recently banned from Nintendo consoles and that game is not even violent, it was banned because it mocks fundamentalist Christians.

Nintendo is kind of a strange company because they generally put on a family friendly face, but then sometimes they feel the need to prove they are not kiddie so when they do put out a violent game it tends to be far more extreme over the top violence than what you commonly see on Microsoft or Sony consoles even though Microsoft and Sony are generally speaking the more adult consoles.

Just like those iPads in LA schools.

While there are no doubt ways to get around the parental controls it is not easy to do, there will no doubt be a few kids who find a way but the vast majority of them would not have the technical knowledge to do so.

It is very easy to get past parental controls on PC and Android devices because those are open platforms which allow you to download software from pretty much anywhere, the major gaming consoles are closed platforms however which means the only software that will run on them is software that was approved by the manufacturer of the hardware, in this case Microsoft. Sometimes hackers can find ways to make unapproved software run on a console, but to do so requires a lot of technical knowledge and if Microsoft detects anyone making unauthorized changes to the software they will ban that user from the Microsoft Network which means the console will no longer be able to access the internet at all.

Unless the kids can figure out the password they are going to have a difficult time getting around the parental controls, the major console manufacturers have gotten very good at making their consoles difficult to hack. It is not impossible to hack them, but the people who succeed in doing so are usually really brilliant hackers, it takes a great deal of technical knowledge to hack most modern consoles.
