Disturbing quotes from the front runner to be the next Pope

And no, I am NOT talking about Alinze, this is about the Canadian, Marc Oullet, who is being touted as a bland, nice guy from Quebec.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marc_Ouellet

Here are some samples:
Christian roots of Europe
In February 2011 Cardinal Ouellet said that the relativisation of the Bible, which denies the value of the Word of God, constitutes a genuine crisis that is both external and internal to the Church. He said "In the last decades, a profound crisis is shaking the foundations of European culture. A new raison d'etat imposes its law and tries to relegate the Christian roots of Europe to a secondary plane. It would seem that, in the name of secularism, the Bible must be relativised, to be dissolved in a religious pluralism and disappear as a normative cultural reference."

Interpretations of the Second Vatican Council
Ouellet believes that many Catholics interpreted the teachings of the Second Vatican Council in far too liberal a way and by doing so disconnected from the core of their faith. Relativism led to priests abandoning celibacy, a drop in proper religious education, and a general infusion of leftist politics — all of which was not the intention of the council. Ouellet stated: “After the council, the sense of mission was replaced by the idea of dialogue. That we should dialogue with other faiths and not attempt to bring them the Gospels, to convert. Since then, relativism has been developing more broadly.”[10]

OK, If I may ask the Canadian contingent here, can you tell me anything about this guy? i suspect he is the front runner, because to be honest, the Catholic Church will not put an African in, as they know many of their richer donors will go running to the Anglicans.

Johnny the rat goes down; this is a time to rejoice.

At one time, I was a Catholic, indeed, almost a priest, but I had to take stock of what I would have had to support if I took up the collar, and I decided that the church under John Paul II was too arrogant, too power-hungry to allow anyone to really work within the system anymore. There were times I would look back and wonder, but then when I saw that Johnny the Rat got promoted, I knew that the Church was not repenting of any of it's sins, and there did not deserve absolution from me, or anyone.

Let us not deny the glory of this hour: this is the FIRST POPE in 600 years to resign. Well before Leonardo Da Vinci painted, before anything that would be called the "Renaissance", long before any bunch of wig-wearing English and French even thought of anything called "The Enlightenment",before any Slave was brought from Africa to the Americas, the idea of any Pope resigning was simply not thought of. Let the Conservative Catholics on Fox News try to downplay this all they want, History was MADE here, every bit as much as when a man named Barack Hussein Obama won the Oval Office, and perhaps even more so.

What happened here is that courts, first in America, but then worldwide, Johann HIMSELF was caught and sued. Simply put, the paper trail leads to HIM, as documented in "mea maxima culpa, some snippets of which I share.

This is Johnny Rat fallign on his sword; his claim of bad health is a joke, especially since most of us remember John Paul beign frail, yet still managing to canonize Jose Escrima (opus Dei's founder).

The bad guys lost, and the church had to be affected by the outside, period.@

What the Tea Party can teach us

Inspired by:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/1251285365

OK, one would think that the GOP would not humor the Tea party, after the Tea party was clearly marked as a reason why the GOP lost 2012. Apparently, the tea party gets more attention,as Marco Rubio, the official GOP spokesperson, is a Tea party type, and they also get Rand Paul, a person who is far to the right of Rubio, and who has openly called for repealing the Civil Rights act.

In short, the Tea party is getting with TWO THIRDS of the speeches that evening. Now, we all know the Tea Party is just the means the ultra rich have to keep the GOP in line, but right now, I say we need to focus on the exact tactics.

I will be blunt, we need to make a counter to the Tea Party. It is the only way we can tilt the game leftward. After all, if we get Hillary in 2016, do you really think she is going to listen to Bernie Sanders?

Yes, we do not want to act like them, and yes, some of us like the fact that OWS focused on the conditions, rather than name a laundry list that would be compromised, but we do need ot organize, and form a faction in the democratic party that will make it clear to the Obama/Clinton/DLC types that we are still here.

Now, this is NOTa third party. The GOP knows that the Tea party can be treated as those oddballs (Bad Cop) but still give them the political support, that is what the democrats need to do...The diea is not to be a third party cast off, but to be the relative they dare not fail to invite to the dinners, even though they fart and cuss.

hillary 2016?

This thread was inspired in part by this one:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=post&forum=1251&pid=283518

Though we have seen many others.

Look, let me get this down straight off: Yes, if Hillary becomes the nominee in 2016, I will vote for her.

Now for a good many people, they will leave it at there and say "OK, when we get her up there, shut up and follow orders.", There will also be a hidden subtext of "like you should have done in 2008."

I will also admit that Hillary can be a juggernaut, especially with 8 years of being SoS, and Bill ready to do whatever it takes so he can die in his old White House, making it his house.

So, why does this talk of Hillary as anointed one annoy me?

Yes, it does rip open all the old wounds of the 2008 campaign, where people insulted me because I was young, and accused me of being a sexist because I preferred both Obama and Edwards over Hillary. People who I counted on as friends during the American dark ages (aka the reign of Bush Jr.) all of a sudden insulted me, and talked about how they would screw me over. Even Smirking Chimp, that old solace, offered no relief.

Of course, at the 11th hour, that favorite hour, Hillary threw her weight towards Obama, and I was grateful. However, I do not forget why I did not vote for her, namely because neither she nor her husband admit that the stuff they gave away has cost us, from NAFTA, to the telecommunications act, to killing Glass-Steagall.

Those three measures alone cost us.

Now,if she were to come out saying that she would undo ONE, merely ONE of those mistakes, and admit they were MISTAKES, I would be joining the Draft Hillary 2016 club.

And let us not forget that she is a war hawk. Israel has been yelling at us, demanding that war with Iran, as if we were servants that were too slow. Hillary seems too eager to follow that old recipe for a Woman to get respect, act more ruthless than a man, which means, like Meir and Thatcher, you need to start killing people, preferably of the brown variety that stand in the way of whatever you wish to take.

I could be wrong, and yes, I will support whoever runs. I am a true Yellow Dog democrat. But do not think that i will forget who moved this party sol;eft that our choices seem to be between Center Right and Galt's Gulch.

Info about the Applebees skinflint pastor

http://www.heavy.com/regions/2013/02/alois-bell-top-10-facts-you-need-to-know/

Now, it shows the receipt, the picture, and all the hard facts. In case you have somehow not heard this, the cliff notes version: A pastor brought in a huge party at Applebees, and per policy, they charged an 18% minimum for a large party. She rote a nasty "I give God only 10 percent, why do you get 18" Another employees posted it, and got fired.

Now I post this article because it has the facts neatly listed, but suffice it to say this, if Christ is real,he is weeping.

this is worthy of a signature

"I love the pure, peaceable, and impartial Christianity of Christ: I therefore hate the corrupt, slaveholding, women whipping, cradle-plundering, partial and hypocritical Christianity of the land. "

The embassy bombing in Turkey; this is a possible sea change.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/02/02/us-turkey-usa-bomb-claim-idUSBRE91107R20130202

Now, of course, Embassy bombings in the Mid east are nothing new. However, there is a sea change here that is ignored.

The group that did this is a Marxist group;
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-21305950

Look at this pic:
http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/02/02/16818679-report-turkish-far-left-group-claims-responsibility-for-us-embassy-attack?lite

Notice: hammer and sickle. NO KORAN QUOTES, No hint of kinship with the Ben Ladin style jihad, and according to the BBC, they are MARXIST, which is to say ATHEIST, which is to say they are exactly the people that Islamic Fundamentalists would hang on the gallows, right next to the Zionists.

Why is this a possible sea change?

ONE: It is NOT Jihad, but old-fashioned Marxism

Normally, terrorism, in particular anti-Western terror, gets mixed up with religion. It is hard to tell where the Theology and the Social science begin and end, which makes for a lot of distortion and static. The theology is overemphasized, especially as it is a distraction from the social misconduct of both Western and Mid-East politicos. This has not such distortion, this is simple anti-western Marxism, of the old school, the same sort that will hang the Mullahs right next to the Zionists, that will covert Mosques to government buildings, ala the old Soviets. It also removes the idea that suicide bombers need a religious reason to do what they do; these folk are NOT expecting 72 virgins. This can mean that marxism is back as a player, which is especially sticky, as China and Russia are trying to ditch their old hammer and sickle outfits for Capitalist riches. However, that does not mean that Moscow and Beijing would not like to see some sympathetic voices that are neither Yank Puppets or Mullah puppets.

TWO: Where Turkey goes, Europe may follow.

As the EU has been taken over by Austerity-loving Germany, and as the UK is pondering leaving, that means that there are going to be a LOT of angry Europeans that feel that they have been taken for a ride. Greece is already a powderkeg, and the nearby Turks could light a fuse. There are many that would love to find a path that is NOT warmed over American austerity, but that is also not the Jihad. There is a void left by the Soviets, and the Marxists, especially the beret wearing Maoists, would love to fill that void. Take a look again at the photo; is it any accident that he is striking a che Guevara style pose, complete with a beret and banners that look like the USSR circa 1960?

An open letter to John McCain

First let me say this. I do appreciate that when many of the Chickenhawks were safe and warm in College or doing "Missionary work" you went to war, and spent years enduring genuine suffering. Even most of the people who hated the War, who hate the military, would have sympathy for the poor kid who was worried about getting tortured or executed every day. I do not say this as a formality; I do think that even IF your luck would have made it so that your of duty consisted of nothing but KP in some Army Base in Mississippi, the fact you did join in wartime puts you ten miles above the Limbaughs, Gingriches, Cheneys, and yes, Romneys.

Which is why you have been a serious disappointment for the past ten years.

in 2008, you sold your soul. Let's not mince it, you kissed the ass of the very same people that used to call for your lynching because you dared think of running against W. Picking Sarah was not only a blatant attempt to pander to that faction, it was also a mockery of your "friend" Hillary, who had, up until the 11th hour, treated you with kid gloves. Palin was everything Hillary was not, someone who pandered to sexist stereotypes, and who pandered to the religious dimwits that have always been the dead weight that kept America from making progress.

in 2012, you were in a position to again remind the GOP of why it was not doing well. You could have told Mitt that he needed to avoid listening to the people who frankly, would only hate him slightly less than they did Obama. You could have acted to draw your party more towards the center, where they actually had a chance, considering that the Obama/Clinton axis is scared of actually using the word "liberal." You could have appealed to people who wanted a sincere something rather than a watered down left. But no, you went back to your new friends on the right, as did Mitt, and you got your head handed to you.

Now of course, you showed that you are determined as ever to continue slouching rightward. Honestly, the way you dragged Hillary before you was worthy of a Stalinist purge. You egged on punks like Rand Paul, and frankly, well, if I was someone like my feminist friends, I would probably make a wonderful paragraph about how your actions were an example of the "rape culture" in America; in other words, you turned the deaths of four Americans into an excuse for the high tech raping of an uppity woman. If you think we did not see the fact you wanted to punish Hillary for helping Obama, you are dumber than you look.

Well, the fact is, you are soon to be history. For all the attempts of folks like Jan Brewer and Joe Arpaio, Arizona is going back to being what it used to be, a place where those descended from the Mexica Tribe lived. Now, it will still be America; do not buy into that "aztlan" BS some well meaning fools push. Most of us Latinos know why we came to America, and it was not for the burgers, but because we want a society that actually lives up to all those ideals we hear about in school. The America of ideals may have never been reality, but we, just like everybody else who comes here, will work towards pushing it closer, inch by inch if need be. With all due respect to your service in Nam, the battle against our national demons is every bit as important as any war fought abroad, and your tragedy is that, while you showed up to a war abroad, you were awol for the fight needed here at home.

Pro gun article by david mamet

http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2013/01/28/gun-laws-and-the-fools-of-chelm-by-david-mamet.html

This article is frankly, awful.

here are some gems:

"Karl Marx summed up Communism as “from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.” This is a good, pithy saying, which, in practice, has succeeded in bringing, upon those under its sway, misery, poverty, rape, torture, slavery, and death."

"It is not the constitutional prerogative of the Government to determine needs. One person may need (or want) more leisure, another more work; one more adventure, another more security, and so on. It is this diversity that makes a country, indeed a state, a city, a church, or a family, healthy. “One-size-fits-all,” and that size determined by the State has a name, and that name is “slavery.”"

how did this guy get so right wing?
