Nikki Haley Writes 'Finish Them!' on Israeli Bomb After Refugee Massacre

Days after dozens of Palestinians were killed by Israeli air strikes against displacement camps in Southern Gaza, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley wrote “Finish them!” on Israeli artillery shells. Haley, who recently sputtered in her bid to defeat former President Donald Trump for the 2024 Republican nomination, toured a kibbutz ravaged by Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack against Israel in the company of current Knesset member and former UN Envoy Danny Danon. “If you think this will only be i ...

Published 4:35 PM EDT, Tue May 28, 2024 CNN — A Fulton County judge will allow a co-defendant of Donald Trump in the Georgia election subversion case to continue his effort to access thousands of 2020 ballots to argue debunked voter fraud theories. Published May 28, 2024 4:03PM (EDT) On Tuesday afternoon, Manhattan prosecutor Joshua Steinglass presents the state's closing argument against former President Donald Trump, seeking to reframe the case after two hours of defense arguments that it all relies on the credibility of one Michael Cohen. Steinglass began by arguing that that the case is not in fact about Trump’s former fixer. “That’s a deflection,” Steinglass told the jury, CNN reported. “It’s about Mr. Trump and whether he should ...

Israel's Rafah operation not a 'major' offensive - US

The US does not believe Israel has launched a full-scale invasion of Rafah in southern Gaza, White House spokesman John Kirby has said. Mr Kirby's remarks came hours after Israeli forces were reported to have reached the centre of the city and seized a strategically important hill overlooking the nearby border with Egypt. He was also responding to questions about an Israeli air strike and a resulting fire on Sunday that killed at least 45 Palestinians at a tented camp for displaced people. Is ...

Biden reelection campaign enlists January 6 police officers to campaign in key swing states

(CNN) The Biden reelection campaign has enlisted three police officers – all of whom were working at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, when rioters overtook the building – to stump for Biden across battleground states in the coming weeks, the campaign told CNN. Sgt. Aquilino Gonell, Officer Harry Dunn and Officer Danny Hodges plan to tell voters across key swing states that former President Donald Trump poses a threat to democracy and to their fundamental rights as Americans. Dunn and Gonell sustained injuries during the attack on the Capitol and have since retired from the Capitol Police. Hodges continues to serve with DC’s Metropolitan Police Department.

Congress defies its own law, fails to install plaque honoring Jan. 6 police officers

(CBS News) "My letters have not been answered. And it's a mystery to me," Lofgren said, throwing her hands up in frustration as she spoke with CBS News just off the U.S. House floor a few days ago. Lofgren and a group of other top House Democrats are questioning why a small plaque to honor police officers who saved the Capitol — and the lawmakers and staffers working there — on Jan. 6, 2021 was not completed or installed by the March 2023 deadline required by law.

Biden To Speak After The Jury Hands Down Their Verdict In Trump's Trial

(PoliticusUSA) At some point, likely this week, the jury will be handed the case in the Trump hush money trial, and those jurors will return a verdict. It is predictable what defendant Donald Trump will say. Either Trump will proclaim that the trial was a rigged Biden conspiracy, or he will say that the jury was a group of brilliant people who found him innocent. What Trump says won’t matter. Anyone who has been watching and listening to Trump can probably script out in advance what Trump is going to say. The interesting reaction to the case will come from President Biden, who, according to Politico, will be delivering remarks from the White House after the verdict is announced
