The Arkansas Times highlighted the contrast in a Thursday report. The alternative newspaper reported that Miller receives ongoing coverage through the government programs, including Medicaid-covered personal care assistance.

WOW!!!! He is against Obamacare and giving poor people access to health insurance, but still uses Medicaid to pay for personal care after the fact. Stunningly and disgustingly full of shit!

Of course he was asked about the glaring hypocrisy of his position! So, here is hubris mixed Chutzpah. It’s normally called a “Republican Bullshit Salad.”

Yes, it seems he worked for Duke for a long ass time. But don’t worry, there is no conflict of interest here. Why? Well, he told us there isn’t one. “That’s a serious, serious breakdown within that company that must be addressed,” he said.

You worked there for 29 years and are talking as if you have never heard of them. “A serious breakdown within that company?” I guess saying “the place I worked for 29 years really fucked up and I should have known, because, as you know I worked there for 29 years” is just too much honesty for one Republican to handle.

Another Michigan official has advised Stockman he has grounds to file criminal complaints against any person or media organization that published the documents.

It’s called an arrest record. And why would the documents be destroyed in 1978? Because Stockman knew 36 years later, he’d run for Senate from Texas. I gotta get me a crystal ball that can help me find out the Power Ball then, since he had one in 1978.

There was a gun show in Orlando, Florida and the organizers of this gun humper symposium of stupid felt that they need a celebrity. Someone who loves guns. Someone who uses guns. Someone who murders unarmed black kids and then gets off on a poorly written law while claiming he feared for his life. Step forward Mr. George Zimmerman. You’re our famouns gun humping celebrity.

Wow, that’s a real knee slapper. Just as funny as blaming Jews for problems.

Don’t worry, Boykin has a subtle jab at Barack Obama too, going back to the old, discredited bullshit line that Obama is a moos-lim.

Bartcop was one of the first sites this writer went to for honest, if caustic, commentary. Coppage was the Rude Pundit’s grandfather in terms of manner of presenting ideas. I believe without Bartcop, there would be no Rude Pundit.

I never met the man personally. Another person I wish I met in life but will never have the opportunity to talk to. I believe the conservation would have been engaging, colorful and rather pointed and direct. Neither Bartcop nor the writer of the Top Ten hold back. He was an inspiration of mine to develop my prose, even if no one wanted care and even if no one wanted to hear it.

In 2002, I found Democratic Underground through Bartcop. What got me hooked on this site was the exact article I write now. Every Monday, I would read, laugh, scream and cry at the idiots that came out. Bartcop brought me to DU and I am forever grateful. Because, here at DU, I’ve met some of the best, most intelligent and most astute people on the web. I don’t always agree with everything said and the arguments can get rather heated and personal, but we all share the same end game ideas: A functioning middle class, single payer health care, well funded school, the end to liberty destroying policies, the end of pointless, endless wars and the end of institutionalized racism, bigotry and intolerance in the United States and all over the world.

Terry Coppage, you will be missed. But your fight doesn’t end with your passing. Someone else will pick up the torch and run with it. Without Lenny bruce, there would be no Richard Pryor or George Carlin. . .without Bartcop, there would be no Democratic Underground, Rude Pundit and EvilGOPBastards.

10. Man, the #1 *really* takes the cake! It's gonna take a LOT to knock him out of #1 of the year!

He is a classic case of the "I got mine, and I'm *still* getting it, but fuck the rest of you poor, needy peons".

I'm disabled, but luckily can walk even after having a broken neck & back, and I qualify for home health care, but I refuse it because I have a good support network of family and friends who make sure I'm taken care of.

I don't run to the doctor every time I have a little sniffles or a little pain because I don't want to be a burden on Medicare and the taxpayers. Hell, I could have lost my arm, or more, last month due to a spider bite that turned into staph, then possibly MRSA. My mom & sister took one look at it and they MADE me go to the ER right then or they were gonna call 911. Even my dad was getting on my ass about not going...and he is worse than I am about not wanting to go to the doctors. I had a hole in my arm at least an inch deep and as big around as a quarter. I ended up having to go back 3 times in 5 days, each time getting stronger oral antibiotics along with even stronger shots in my hip. They said if that didn't work, the next step would be IV antibiotics and possible admittance into the hospital.

Luckily the shots and pills worked, and I'm better now... well, 95% better anyways! I still have a small spot, it hurts a little, but they say it's to be expected and it will heal completely soon.

This week was particularly good -- the #1 spot was perfect. The one that made me laugh out loud was #5, at the end when you say you live in China. I can imagine Stockman's head spinning, like in the Exorcist!
