That is, if there are any left. That party is rotten to the core. But for the good of the country we need to get endorsements from sane republicans.

Certainly some old guard must be able to see the danger that Trump/Vance pose to the country. If not only for their corporate buddies to be able to continue to make money. T/V could very well sink the country into a depressed state actually ruining our economy. Authoritarian states don’t strike me as economic powerhouses.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t want republicans having anything to do with our party other than to do what is right for the country.

where I work the people are 90% black. I am one of the 10% white people there. I came into the office this morning and nobody was talking about the news. I asked what everybody thought about Kamala Harris. no response was tepid at best. One person said well I wish there was somebody better. Again, this is purely anecdote doesn’t really mean much of anything in the grand scheme of things, but I think it is wrong to assume that Black people are just going to be OK with Harris because of the color of her skin.

now that isn’t to say that they were necessarily super pumped about Biden, but I think it’s interesting that there wasn’t a lot of excitement.

I work for a small school bus company in Minnesota where I do IT work and also drive a school bus. As I said, our staff is 90% black and some other POC.

In my world, Dems I know right now are livid

Just about every dem I know is rip shot pissed save for one person I know.

a lot of them were Bernie supporters and one that was Lawrence leasig supporter in 2016 who recently came on board with how progressive Biden turned out. They are beyond pissed and it has ripped the scabs off some old wounds for them.

Whoever they pick had better have the same message. Primarily the one where trump tqx cuts expire.

Whoever takes up the mantle will have to heal the party and beat Trump. That is a tall order.
