Why Warren can not win the presidency...................
First: I love Sanders and Warren but for a Democrat to win they need a motivated African-American voters. Last week I saw on MSNBC a poll showing VP Biden has 49% support from the Black voter. Warren and Sanders had 13% and the others less than that. The motivation is just is not there. When Biden is the nominee and Obama comes out for him that will provide the motivation needed.

Answer: The question should be:. If Biden doesn't win the nomination and Warren does, will African Americans a) Vote for Warren in the general, b) Vote for Trump , c) Vote for someone else, d) Who's Elizabeth Warren. If the answer is a or d then this will no matter. And there is pretty good evidence that Elizabeth Warren is leading in the second choice category.

Second a Democrat needs Independent voters support. Sanders has said he is a Socialist. Warrens policies (I like them), will be easy to show as Socialist.

The Independent voter thinks Biden is liberal but don't believe he is Socialist.

Too many Independent voters will hold their nose and vote for Trump. They do not want a Socialist president.

Answer:. Maybe, but there is good evidence that the socialist label isn't what it once was.

reminds me of this Mamas and Papas song



Probably because it has a similar beat and theme. Bacilos won a Latin Grammy for Best New Group and later broke up for about 10 years but got back together this year with a new album.

By the way this group is composed of a Colombian, a Puerto Rican and a Brazilian who met at The University of Miami.

I'm a substitute teacher and since I don't get paid much and don't get paid at all during the summer I drive for Uber to make ends meet.

A few days ago, I went to pick up a rider on the west side of Houston and the ride was for "Kristina". I got there and a guy comes up and he says he's my rider and I ask him who ordered the ride and he said Kristina so I let him in.

We were about to leave and all of a sudden the door opens and the guy says something like "Hey, what's going on" and I looked back and he was being handcuffed and dragged out of the car. I noticed that the car was being blocked by a vehicle.

I was about to cancel the ride and get my $3.75 cancellation fee. The officer came up and told me not to cancel the ride. He said they had ordered the Uber because it was the only way they could get him to come out of the apartment. They told me to go ahead and take the ride without a passenger, that it was on them and they would give me a tip. This was a trip toward my destination so I asked them if I could change the destination to closer to my house. I didn't set it to exactly my house, put the address as the grocery store near me. They also showed me a gun that he had. They did give me a tip as promised.

The officers were wearing shirts that said Fugitive Investigative Unit. I asked them what the guy did and all he said was that he missed a court date.

Not really sure how I feel about this. I'm pretty sure I don't like the idea that they would involve me in this but it happened so fast that neither me not the passenger know what was happening until it was all over. I don't think they should have gotten me involved in this. What if the guy had seen it coming and pulled out the gun and started shooting.

Today my sister told me that my cousin died of pancreatic cancer.

I really don't know how to feel. I had wished him suffering and it happened.

When we were both 12, he got a tape recorder for Christmas. We were playing around and he said f*ck on tape and then erased it and dared me to, I did but he wouldn't erase it. He said if I didn't do what he wanted he would play the tape to my mom and dad and grandparents. For 2 years there was a lot of unwanted touching but no intercourse because I told him I didn't want to get pregnant and that stopped him although he tried to convince me to let him do anal.

When I was 14, I told him no more and to just play the tape because I would rather get the punishment for saying a bad word than continue letting him touch me or worse. He played it at Christmas in front of all the adults in the family and the tape had degraded so much they didn't understand it or know it was me.

Now I'm sitting here feeling like crying and not knowing how to feel about his death and the suffering I wish on him.

Bacilos was a Latin pop band based in Miami. They won Grammy awards for Best Latin Pop Album in 2003 and 2005 and numerous awards throughout South America. The group broke up in 2007.

Their song Colores, colores has been used high school Spanish classes all over the country, so there are many, many videos of the song on YouTube with photos and lyrics (often with a few spelling errors). It works well with upper elementary students too. This is one example of a student project, but you will find many more.
