In reply to the discussion: Joe Biden's ridiculous attack on Elizabeth Warren's 'elitism' [View all]Jakes Progress
(11,122 posts)All budgets are "guesses".
Her "guesses" are based on numbers that actually exist. The "let's let everybody have exactly what they want" crowd - universal coverage plus insurance industry profits and costs added - are less than guesses. No where do any of the more corporate minded candidates explain how they will finance their promises. It sounds good, so they just say it regardless of the fact that they all know it will either cost millions more than M4A or will live millions without coverage.
Since you don't like the real numbers in Warren's plan, who's plan do you prefer? And which version of their plan do you like - the one where they leave millions without insurance or the one that will cost millions more than Warren's?
Perhaps you already have coverage and don't really have a great concern for those that don't. If that isn't the case, then I challenge you to explain how you will achieve universal coverage for less cost than M4A. Of course, I don't expect you to reply to these questions, but rather that you will trot out more generalities and insurance industry smoke.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
