(5,648 posts)Aside from "harmony" and "joy" there is also a lot of passion which has been exhibited at the rallies, on line, etc. This cannot be denied; it is an integral part of the movement. When passion is unrequited one of two things can happen - the passion can be redirected or it will turn to anger, especially when the passionate are lead to believe that they have been unfairly denied their objective.
The only question here is whether after Sanders whips his followers into a frenzy as he did last night, will he be capable of redirecting that passion or has he creating something he cannot control whose anger will be directed at the Democratic Party and even turned back on him if his followers perceive that he has sided with the "enemy" he helped to create.
Right now there are indications that it is anger which is starting leak out. I visualize Sanders as having created a great tiger which he now has by the tail and he can't let go. He will either have to try at this late date to control it or it might devour him, and it take a good sized bite out of the Democratic Party as well. Or it may be that he will have to just hold on for dear live while it runs amuck.
