Onions, carrots and celery dry cooked in the pot before the bones, spices and water go in..
4 hours on a slow even steam release yields a delicious and hearty broth after removing all the solid stuff. Needs to be cooled and the fat removed from the top.
About 10 cup only last about a week around here.
Sometimes I use it as a base for fresh veg like Kale, potatoes, onions or cabbage.
Healthy too!
I wonder where I can get lamb bones? I don't particularly care for lamb/sheep/mutton..
