New York: Manhattan: Charges Involving Sex At Cathedral

A man and a woman having sex in a side entrance to St. Patrick's Cathedral yesterday afternoon were arrested and charged with public lewdness, and a third person was arrested as he was recording them, the police said.

N.Y. PEN. LAW § 245.00 : NY Code - Section 245.00: Public lewdness

Public lewdness is a class B misdemeanor.

N.Y. PEN. LAW § 70.15 : NY Code - Section 70.15: Sentences of imprisonment for misdemeanors and violation

Class B misdemeanor. A sentence of imprisonment for a class B misdemeanor shall be a definite sentence. When such a sentence is imposed the term shall be fixed by the court, and shall not exceed three months.
