I've been here since 2002.
I hope and pray the new folks are involving themselves in helping free our incredible nation from Republicans. I hope that's why they're here, and not to troll and cause dissent among members.
We ARE the best Democratic community on the 'net. THAT I promise. If you can contribute positively (or with humor) please do so. If you can contribute monetarily (hard for me on a very limited income, but I try), please do so.
THE. BEST. COMMUNITY. PERIOD.
We are a neighborhood, we argue, we bitch, we poopy-head, we say I FUCKING QUIT, we get nasty and basic. That's part of community. Stick around. We make a difference. WE helped (DU) get Obama his first win, and his second.
I live in a weird place with great people. When I learned Obama had won the nomination? I was in a doctor's office for a pee test! I did, but jumped up and cried BEFORE pulling pants up..............
Blushed a lot................
We were taking care of my dad-in-love when Obama won. I was in the living area, Arthur (my dad-in-love) was in his recliner, and the TV was on........... he tried SO HARD to stand up but he did yell and cheer. He died the next year at 86.
My mom, who died at 94, voted for Hillary. Then Obama. We're a long line of Democrats, starting with whenever.......... never voted differently.
DU? It seems most of the "newbies" are really good folks who just found us. Support them if you can, argue with them, call them idiots (NOT to the point where it gets judged by peers) and ENJOY. Be as nice as you can. We are your neighborhood, we are your community, we are your extended family.
