Voted Democrat my entire adult life, volunteered for local campaigns, had the bumper stickers, and defended Obama from some of the worst, yet lately I've been called a right-winger and a racist more times than I care to count simply for not being on the same side of some issues as others here.
It happens. Eventually, these groups get so wound-up in purity tests and more-liberal-than-thou contests that they end up eating each other alive. Us sane people will be just fine.
