59. Perhaps he was quoting the Declaration of Independence?

The second paragraph of the United States Declaration of Independence starts as follows:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; (bold is mine)

If his intent was to be disrespectful he probably would have left the Confederate flag on the car.

Most people celebrate a victory instead of looking for a negative that probably isn't even there.
