21. The NRA?

I pay very little attention to their pronouncements, save for the unintentional comedy factor. That violent crime is trending downwards is something demonstrated by the Dept. of Justice's NCS stats, and if you've an issue with their methodologies, feel free to state your case (rather than engage in implied ad hominem).

In any case, that's all completely irrelevant to the point I was making, which was that the poster to which I responded made an indefensible claim (that absent firearms, the murder victim in the story would have only suffered assault and battery). At mose, one can onhly legitimately claim that she might have suffered a lesser crime, not that she would have. Surely I needn't repeat that a third time...?
