“This may sound a bit radical, but if more people would arm themselves and kill these f*cking idiots <emphasis added> when they’re threatening you, eventually they may take the hint and change their behavior.”

Obviously he felt he had a right to kill these kids because he wanted to send a message to other black people to "change their behavior."

They were not threatening him, but I bet they cursed at him and told him to mind his own business, and that absolutely infuriated him. He is like that old retired cop jerk in Florida who said, "Throw popcorn in my face!" <emphasis added>after gunning down another theater patron he was arguing with over texting.

Remember how appalled people were a couple of decades ago to hear that gang bangers would shoot each other over being "dissed"? (I remember reading about one teen who shot another for stepping on his shadow!)

But that's exactly what is going on here. This jerk and the retired cop in the movie theater felt dissed, and in their macho posturing idiocy, they were enraged. The problem with that sort of rage, though, is that if one has a gun handy, it can lead all too easily to blowing the other guy away.
