I don't have followers, but I well tweet to tag elected officials or the media's attention..
We used twitter alot to tag elected officials in Washington about the Armenian Genocide Resolution...
We tag our state government when they're in session...

Twitter is good for following the National Weather Service, Local government, .Up to the minute, breaking news...but I only follow reliable sources...

Sometimes we will tag Republicans, just for the heck of it ~ like when John Cornyn tweeted a photo of a weird brisket at Christmas..LOL..The brisket did not look like a Texas brisket....
He got the idea and started referring to it as "brisketgate".
