In reply to the discussion: Britney Spears Just Told the World How Bad Her Conservatorship Really Is [View all]Takket
(21,912 posts)18. i thought the conservatorship was about controling the finances...
what i read here is terrifying. Brittney is never going to make it into mensa, but the restrictions imposed on her are the kind of thing i would only expect to hear about for a person that is completely physically and mentally disabled and unable to care for themselves in any way.
She cannot even be allowed to make a decision on her IUD??? It is terrifying to me to think that someone can even have a restriction like that imposed on them LEGALLY by a court in this country, if they are at least of sound mind and body even if not the best decision maker in the word or smartest person.
I would see restricting her access to some money so she doesn't blow it all, but... come on. Can't even make your own medical decisions???

At her age, she should have the right to live her life as she wishes. She is NOT a teen any longer.
