Clinton's gold paired with dark blue carpet (Biden's current look) looks most striking to my mind followed by Obama's red (though I'm not sure that particular red was the best choice) and HWs baby blue.
Dark blue might be interesting or a darker red, but what he has now is a good look since that gold is much better than Trump's less vibrant shade, works well against the blue, and I think his couch choices work better than Clinton's.

Those were Clintons, as was the blue rug. He will get to request his own choice for both to be made

The gold drapes were Clintons. Trump's slightly lighter yellow gold drapes were removed.

There's a door there. The stain is from people shutting the door and not using the door knob.
