is that there are liberals and progressives living there even if they're the minority. Sure a fair amount of them couldn't afford to move, and maybe they wouldn't want to for various reasons.

Then esp The South where there still many African-Americans living there that I wouldn't want them to suffer- the many who couldn't afford to leave be pushed back under the thumb of more racism.

It's more true than not that your average liberals and conservatives got along somewhat ok - before Limbaugh, more NYC locally Bob Grant etc started spewing their hatreds.

Although after Goldwater's trouncing the seriously political Republicans esp the conservative ones started to plan their eventual efforts of routing us Democrats, Liberals, esp at first by filling up Local, and State political positions, then going Federal.
