Is it true that on the night of Obama’s inauguration leading republicans promised to obstruct him and make him a one term president?

In 2010, right before the mid-term elections, John Boehner said of Obama’s agenda: “We're going to do everything — and I mean everything we can do — to kill it, stop it, slow it down, whatever we can.” And Mitch McConnell had already said, “The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”

This is completely without any regard for what Obama’s agenda actually was, or what was good for the country (which was in a deep crisis at the time). All they cared about was stopping Obama.

Think about that. This country was in a deep crisis and all they cared about was 'hanging' the black man.
