The Power of Protest

"It is important for people to appreciate that protest is productive and healthy for democracy when it comes from the bottom up. But when it's manipulated by political actors, calling on people to protest for them and seek to overturn U.S. institutions, like on Jan. 6, it can actually be highly threatening to democracy."

Serious warnings about Trump

"Here are two simple suggestions for the media: First, listen to what Trump and his acolytes are saying and take it all seriously — very seriously. Second: every time Trump is discussed, remind people who he is: the man who tried to install himself as dictator by looking to discard a peaceful election and overthrow the government.

We know Trump should be in prison. But at the least let’s not let him stroll back into the White House — by election or by force — without any serious opposition."

At SOTU, Biden shows he's gotten his second wind

Biden exuded strength, determination, resilience snd sincerity, sparked with good humor and not being shaken by hecklers and boos.
Although his main role when he first ran for presidency was to be a 'bridge over troubled waters' ...I am one of, I'm sure, many, who would continue to follow him onward to the rocky road ahead of a second term.
