I have a questing about supporters being bused in to events.

Is it normal for campaigns to bus people in from other places and states to participate in campaign events? Do all campaigns do that?
The reason why I ask is because there are a bunch of young folks on twitter talking about how they enjoyed their bus ride into Iowa for an event. There are pictures and tweets. Some folks saying they traveled from Nebraska. Is this a normal campaign thing?
