Blind Willie Johnson - Dark was the night

"Dark Was the Night, Cold Was the Ground" is a gospel blues song written and performed by American musician Blind Willie Johnson and recorded in 1927. The song is primarily an instrumental featuring Johnson's self-taught bottleneck slide guitar and picking style accompanied by his vocalizations of humming and moaning. It has the distinction of being one of 27 samples of music included on the Voyager Golden Record, launched into space in 1977 to represent the diversity of life on Earth. The song has been highly praised and covered by numerous musicians and is featured on the soundtracks of several films.

Nirvana - MTV Unplugged; In honor of Kurt Cobain's Guitar selling today;

The singer used it to play tunes including "About a Girl" and "All Apologies" at the Nov. 18, 1993, show in New York that came less than five months before Cobain died at age 27.

Grunge became gold Saturday as the guitar Kurt Cobain played on Nirvana's 1993 MTV Unplugged performance sold for an eye-popping $6 million at auction.

The 1959 Martin D-18E that Cobain played in the band's rare acoustic performance and subsequent live album was sold to Australian Peter Freedman, owner of Røde Microphones, at the Music Icons event run by Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, California.

Spoke with Lawyer from Texas Secretary of State Office on mail in voting.

I take a chemo drug so I am immuno-compromised, but I do not have any sort of disability that would prevent me from actually going in to vote and I had a question on getting the mail in voting form.

The lawyer I spoke with was really nice and told me to fill out the form and select disability. She cited the Election Code on Disability.

Sec. 82.002. DISABILITY. (a) A qualified voter is eligible for early voting by mail if the voter has a sickness or physical condition that prevents the voter from appearing at the polling place on election day without a likelihood of needing personal assistance or of injuring the voter's health.

I do not have to cite my reason. I do not have to prove any illness. Just select the box. Sign the form and mail it in.

I'm pretty happy about this as my wife was getting really upset at me for my stand on going in to vote no matter what I had to do. She was looking at full body PPE from Amazon and I guess I would have obliged her wishes and worn it, but this makes my life a little easier and I won't look like the guys in Hazmat Suits...

This still does not mean you can just claim you are afraid of getting the virus, when I pressed her about that she referred back to the Codes and said they were pretty clear on that point.

I hope others reach out and understand that they can vote by mail if they have an illness or physical condition that makes them vulnerable to the virus.

I have new babies! A nest near my house has recently hatched.

I am not sure what type bird it is, I think it is a type of Wren due to the nest shape. The nest is oval and has an opening on one side and is located in my golf cart (the batteries died so it hasn't moved in a few months).

I'm trying to get some pics of the momma, but she is hard to catch and I don't have great camera, just my phone. Here is a pic of the babies best I can get for now. They just hatched last night and yesterday. Any ideas on identification will be appreciated.
