Pentagon cop charged with murder pulled gun on homeless woman in his lobby in 2020 - video

scene of him pointing long gun at homeless woman starts at 2:06 of the video

Law enforcement sources confirm to 7News Maryland Bureau Chief Brad Bell that they have been made aware of an incident involving David Hall Dixon last May during which he pointed a gun at a homeless woman in his apartment building's lobby.

Dixon is the Pentagon Force Protection Agency Police officer who has been arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder after shooting at and killing suspects he believed to be breaking into a car in Takoma Park early Wednesday.

Brad's sources say Dixon confronted the woman, who was being disruptive, and told her to leave.

When she did not leave, the sources say Dixon retrieved a long gun and pointed at the woman while ordering her to leave. The woman did leave the premises and no shots were fired. 7News obtained video of this confrontation from a source, which you can watch below.

GOP is "expert at identifying vulnerable, marginalized populations and demonizing them"

Republicans Have Found Their Cruel New Culture War
Arkansas lawmakers’ move against trans people reflects a larger strategy.

I know what it’s like to be used.

And right now, trans people are being used, cruelly.

You probably heard about what happened in Arkansas. On Tuesday, state lawmakers there voted overwhelmingly, by a three-to-one ratio, to override a veto from the Republican governor, Asa Hutchinson, and effectively ban gender-affirming medical treatments, such as puberty blockers and hormone therapy, for trans youth under the age of 18.

It doesn’t matter if those youth are pleading for this kind of help or have already begun receiving it and found it to be lifesaving. It doesn’t matter if their parents, having wrestled hard with the situation and done extensive research, believe that therapy is crucial. It doesn’t matter if physicians have concluded it’s in the youths’ best interest. Politicians know best.

And they’re expert at identifying vulnerable, marginalized populations and demonizing them in the interest of political gain. That’s what Republicans in Arkansas, in Alabama and in dozens of other states are doing with scores of active bills, many of which focus on denying trans youth gender-affirming treatments and dictating how they may or may not participate in sports.

Embattled Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz is denied a meeting with Trump

(CNN)Rep. Matt Gaetz, who's facing a federal investigation into sex trafficking allegations, was recently denied a meeting with Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate as the ex-President and his allies continue to distance themselves from the Florida congressman.

Two people familiar with the matter said Gaetz tried to schedule a visit with Trump after it was first revealed that he was being investigated, but the request was rejected by aides close to the former President, who have urged Trump not to stick his neck out to defend Gaetz. Harlan Hill, a spokesman for Gaetz, said the congressman did not request a meeting with Trump this week.

"Rep. Gaetz was welcomed to Trump Doral this week and has not sought to meet with President Trump himself," Hill said in a statement to CNN, claiming that Gaetz has "been mostly relaxing with his fiancée this week during recess."

The interference by Trump's aides signals that Gaetz finds himself increasingly isolated as he weathers a potentially career-ending scandal just months after he offered to leave his plum job in Congress to join the 45th President's impeachment defense team. Trump has issued only one statement about Gaetz since the public first learned of the congressman's role in a sex trafficking

North Carolina wedding venue turns away gay couple

A same sex couple were turned away from a popular North Carolina wedding venue after it refused to host a gay wedding due to its 'strong Christian beliefs'.

McCae Henderson and Ike Edwards booked into Highgrove Estate in Fuquay-Varina on the suggestion of a friend, and after noticing there were only spaces for the name of the 'bride' and 'groom' on the online form wrote in the notes that they were 'groom and groom'.

Two days later received a reply refusing them because 'our owner has unfortunately chosen not to participate in same-sex weddings at this time', and offering them alternative venues.

--------------------------------

Highgrove said they have already seen a backlash, with at least one couple cancelling their wedding, and at least one threat to the business that had been reported to police.

'The backlash is sad, it's been aggressive, hateful and designed to cause fear,' the owners said.

'What they are asking is for us to believe just like them and they will leave us alone.

'We stand by our beliefs in the sanctity of marriage and that is not going to change. We wish (McCae Henderson and Ike Edwards) to find the very best venue and that their special day is wonderful.'

after CA town setup tent city despite fierce objections of residents, something remarkable happened

MUST READ Article... about how they setup to the homeless tent village for success

From May to November, Santa Rosa spent $680,000 to supply and manage a tent city at a popular neighborhood community center. The six-month experiment charted a new course for the Northern California city's approach to homeless services. (Angela Hart/KHN/TNSAngela Hart/TNS

The backlash was fierce. For three hours on a Thursday evening in mid-May, Santa Rosa officials defended their plans as hundreds of residents flooded the phone lines to register their discontent. “This is a family neighborhood,” another fumed. “How can we feel safe using our park?” others pleaded.

In Santa Rosa, like so many other communities, strenuous neighborhood objections typically would drive a stake through a proposal for homeless housing and services. Not this time. Elected officials were not asking; they were telling. The project would move ahead.

------

Within days, the spacious parking lot at the Finley Community Center was cordoned off with green mesh fencing. Inside, spaced 12 feet apart, were 68 blue tents, each equipped with sleeping bags and storage bin. A neat row of portable toilets lined one side of the encampment, and it was fitted throughout with hand-washing stations and misters for the summer heat.

-----------------------------------

Santa Rosa’s tent city opened May 18. And, not too long after, something remarkable happened. Finley Park residents stopped protesting and started dropping off donations of goods — food, clothing, hand sanitizer. The tennis and pickleball courts, an afternoon favorite for retirees, were bustling again. Parents and kids once more crowded the nearby playground.

Several area residents said they changed their mind about the project because of the way the site was managed.

“I was amazed I never saw anything negative at all,” said Boyd Edwards, who plays pickleball at the Finley Community Center a few times a week.

“I thought they were going to be noisy and have crap all over the place. Now, they can have it all year round for all I care,” said his friend Joseph Gernhardt.

city puts fence & piles sandbags around door of restaurant that has repeatedly defied COVID orders

Burbank erects fence around restaurant that has repeatedly defied COVID health orders

The city of Burbank also placed sandbags at the entrance to Tinhorn Flats Saloon & Grill to prevent it from opening.(Dania Maxwell /
The city of Burbank on Saturday put up a chain-link fence around a local restaurant that has repeatedly defied county health orders during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fence was erected around the Tinhorn Flats Saloon & Grill in the 2600 block of West Magnolia Boulevard to prevent the owners from reopening under unsafe conditions.

The city, which received permission from a judge to shut off power to the business last month, secured a preliminary injunction Friday to prevent the restaurant from operating without a county health permit and a city conditional use permit, Burbank Police Lt. Derek Green said.

Community reacts to 'disturbing racist scene' with Moline HS Football team

https://twitter.com/HamzaKaroumia/status/1380706779793915905

MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) - Community members shared their sadness, anger, and shock Saturday after a viral video which Moline Police described as a “disturbing racist scene” surfaced from the Moline High School football team Friday.

In a release from Moline Chief of Police Darren Gault, he said “We all agree that regardless if the students viewed this as a joke, it is unacceptable behavior...This is a teaching moment for everyone and a reminder that we can do better. We can treat people better. We can be better friends. We can be better teammates. We can be better people. “We can also stand up and confront situations when they are wrong. In doing so we can raise our morals and increase the respect we have for each other end.”

For Tracy Singleton, who started the non-profit Well Suited which helps mentor young men, she found the situation unfortunately familiar.

“You could see it in his face like I could see it in his face like I don’t know who he is, I don’t know his family but I know the look because I’ve seen it in my own son’s eyes so I just felt so bad for him” Singleton said, “And then I felt anger.”

“Definitely not going to jail,” Ryan wrote. “Sorry I have blonde hair white skin a great job a great future and I'm not going to jail. Sorry to rain on your hater parade. I did nothing wrong.”

— Jenna Ryan (@dotjenna) March 26, 2021
When the Observer called to ask Ryan what she meant by the tweet, she hung up on us.

Following the reply, Ryan’s followers had a field day.

“Way to shout out your white privilege... May you be made an example of,” wrote user @Hayfont.

Others clung to semantics, saying Ryan may be technically correct when she claimed she won’t be going to jail.

“Correct. Prison is different than jail,” replied @charlieloko1.

A few people questioned whether blond is Ryan’s natural hair color.

“Martha fvcking [sic] Stewart went to jail, and she's white, has a good job, and is a natural blond. Don't think those roots won't give you away, Ryan,” user @CasperVDean wrote.

the corrupt cops of Windsor began the cover up immediately after abusing Lt. Nazario

The police officers did not arrest Lieutenant Nazario and have not filed charges.

---------------------

Officer Gutierrez later told Lieutenant Nazario that his chief had given him the discretion to let him go so long as the lieutenant did not “fight and argue.”

Officer Gutierrez said he would not have to write a summons for obstruction of justice and failure to display a license plate “if you want to chill and let this go.”

If he wrote a summons, the Army would have to be alerted, Officer Gutierrez told Lieutenant Nazario.

Lieutenant Nazario said he would be alerting his supervisors about what had occurred.

“I get it,” Officer Gutierrez says. “The media spewing race relations between law enforcement and minorities, I get it.”

Lieutenant Nazario’s lawyer, Jonathan Arthur, said the lieutenant had told his supervisors about the stop almost immediately.

“He’s still really shaken up,” Mr. Arthur said. “He’s very, very worried about retaliation.”
