killer tossed his elaborate killing plan in the trash can
now he's serving life without parole... killed his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend. On February 28, 2018, Weaver and his crew of investigators entered Benders house in Windemere, Florida, to execute their search warrant. Virtually instantly after coming into Benders five-bedroom home, Weaver noticed what did seem to be a fantasy. There, within the suspects house workplace, Weaver noticed the pocket book pages Sanchez had described.
I used to be in shock, mentioned Weaver. There is not any means that we simply discovered this homicide plan.
There, on a number of crumpled-up items of paper sitting on the high of Benders trash bin, have been the small print of his elaborate plot to kill Patrick De La Cerda.
The very first thing I needed to do was attain within the trash can, seize it, and browse the entire thing, Weaver mentioned, however he knew this wanted to be bagged as essential proof.

LAPD says teens ages 13 to 16 motivated by racism were behind 'swattings' of BLM leader
The Los Angeles Police Department said Friday that a group of teenagers motivated by racial hatred is responsible for two separate swatting incidents at the home of Black Lives Matter Los Angeles leader Melina Abdullah.
The incidents, which led to LAPD surrounding the home of one of their most prominent critics, were highly controversial and the police were heavily criticized for their responses.
The teens, ages 13 to 16, were connected via the online chat platform Discord and are also suspected in 30 other false emergency threats across the country since July 2020, targeting other online persons, video gamers, activists, schools, airports, houses of worship, entertainment venues and memorial parks, the LAPD said.
Police will present cases supporting charges of criminal conspiracy and creating a false emergency against three of the teens to local prosecutors, they said. One of the three lives in New York and another in Ohio, while a third an American citizen is living abroad in Cyprus, police said. They were not identified.

Texas, another Republican-led state, preordered 1 million doses enough to fully vaccinate over 17 percent of the states children in the same age group. California preordered 860,000 doses, enough to fully vaccinate 13 percent of kids there.
The federal government does not publicize the amount of vaccine states are ordering through its distribution clearinghouse. The Tampa Bay Times compared Floridas preorder to what eight other states have reportedly ordered. Florida, the third-most populated state, ordered the least of the nine.

Utah doctor Jason Lance lied about suffering hypothermia to get airlifted off Denali, facing charges
A Utah doctor is accused of lying about climbers suffering from hypothermia and shock to have the National Park Service airlift them from an Alaska mountain in the spring, federal officials said. Jason Lance faces three charges interference with a government employee, violating lawful order and false report, according to a federal criminal complaint filed on Nov. 9. Lance tried to conceal and erase the messages from the tracking device he used to get help, court documents show.

After A.R. was off the mountain, the court documents say Lance used the communications device to send this message to the manufacturers emergency response center: No injuries. Stuck without equipment after climber fall. Request assisst (sic) for evac. The center responded, advising him to contact Denali National Park directly.
Nearly an hour later, park officials told him if he had a rope, he should rope up and begin descending. He responded by saying they could not safely descend.
The park told him the helicopter was no longer flying that night and the only option was to descend.
After receiving that message, Lance responded 21 minutes later: Cant descend safely. Patients in shock. Early hypothermia. Cant you land east of pass?
Given that medical news, the helicopter launched but hadnt informed Lance. Shortly after launching, it abandoned the mission when guides at the nearby high base camp reported the three climbers were climbing down.
In later interviews, neither member of the other climbing team reported they suffered from medical shock or hypothermia at any time. They also said they spent hours trying to convince Lance to descend with them the 1,000 feet to the 17,200-foot high base camp.

Denali was off-limits to climbers during much of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since it reopened for the 2021 season, rangers said they have seen a disturbing amount of overconfidence paired with inexperience, leading to a sharp spike in serious accidents and emergency rescue calls.
Rescue is not guaranteed, and your emergency plan should not be contingent upon the NPS, the National Park Service said in a blog post. Rescuer safety will always be our first priority, and weather or lack of resources often preclude us from coming to help. The NPS policy is to only respond to immediate threats to life, limb, or eyesight. Anything that we deem falls outside these categories, we will leave you to figure out on your own, and this year we have already turned down rescue requests that dont meet these criteria.
-----
Lance responded, according to the complaint, stating, there are no pickets available. We cannot safely descend. Rangers texted back, telling Lance, The helicopter cannot come to your location and is not flying any more tonight. Do you have a rope with you? Your only option tonight is descent. But Lance continued to push back, messaging rangers, Cant decend [sic] safely. Patients in shock. Early hypothermia... Cant you land east of pass? the complaint states.
----------
When they got back down to a lower altitude, the pair of climbers who had been with Lance told rangers that neither of them had suffered from any form of medical shock or hypothermia at any point during their ascent or descent contrary to Dr. Lances claims to Denali NPS, the complaint states. Both [climbers] reported that they spent hours attempting to convince Dr. Lance to rope up and descend with them from 18,200 ft to 17,200 ft high camp after the trio watched A.R. fall. [The climbers] reported that Dr. Lance insisted the three stay put, told [the climbers] that the NPS was going to rescue them, and that the NPS was obligated to do so because weve paid our fee.
