From UPI:
However, less than 20% of the affected officers said that they sought treatment for mental disorders in the past year, while 12% had a lifetime mental health diagnosis, the data showed.

"And the stresses of what they have to deal with, not just physical danger, but the human misery, absolutely takes a toll over the months and years and decades of this job," he said., trying their best to do a very difficult and sometimes dangerous job," William J. Johnson, executive director of the National Association of Police Organizations, told UPI.
"And the stresses of what they have to deal with, not just physical danger, but the human misery, absolutely takes a toll over the months and years and decades of this job," he said.
I love that: ""The men and women who serve as police officers are regular human beings like anyone else... " Totally agree, except for one little thing: regular human beings don't carry guns and tasers.
And of course the GOPers in Congress aren't doing shit about T,
Flying under the radar as usual thanks to their useful killer clown.
Alec Baldwin Claps Back At Gripes That 'SNL' Mocking Sick Trump Is Offensive
From HuffPost:
Responding to criticism that the cold open lampooning the first debate was insensitive, Baldwin explained himself on Instagram. (Fast forward below to the 6:30 mark for the bulk of his argument.)
A few jokes subtly alluded to the presidents COVID-19 diagnosis. But Baldwin said that if Trump were gravely ill, the show wouldnt go near that. His doctor and spokespeople were giving upbeat updates on him, suggesting he wasnt in real danger, Baldwin noted.
We only have their word to go by, the actor said. And if their word had been that he was in serious trouble, then we probably wouldnt have done it. ... I can assure you we wouldnt have done it.
Sure, it's okay for POtuS and conservatives to do it (including when Hillary had pneumonia), but not okay for liberals to do it?
Eat shit, you fucking hypocrites.
A terrifying but possible support movement for T right now.
My tolerance level for arrogant ignorance began to dive about twenty years ago when I worked for a company in Upstate NY. Since then it has continued to drop like a rock thru water, and, over the past few months, it has bottomed out and kept going. I'm at the point where I believe people would do anything and justify it by refusing to look at reality.
So, I said to myself this morning, what would happen if somebody started a solidarity movement right now to support T: "Let's deliberately catch Covid to show him we care." A web site, an FB page, whatever.
Given the past few months, I have to believe that at least a few thousand people, and maybe many more, would go along with this. Never mind that they could die from it and/or infect thousands more innocent people. I totally believe this could happen.
It's terrifying.
"White House Correspondents Association denounces Trump motorcade photo-op... "
From CNN:
White House Correspondents Association denounces Trump motorcade photo-op without protective pool
From CNN's Allie Malloy
The president of the White House Correspondents Association, Zeke Miller, denounced President Trump in a statement for his boarding his motorcade for a photo op around the Walter Reed National Medical Hospital without the protective travel pool which is supposed to accompany the President whenever he is out of the White House.
Read the statement:
It is outrageous for the president to have left the hospital even briefly amid a health crisis without a protective pool present to ensure that the American people know where their president is and how he is doing. Now more than ever, the American public deserves independent coverage of the president so they can be reliably informed about his health.
Some context: The White House press pool was not notified about Trumps movement outside of Walter Reed medical center, according to the latest pool report.
There was a travel photo lid issued by the White House earlier today, indicating the President would not be seen in public.
It is highly irregular for the press pool not to accompany the President during a movement.
I think it's ironic that he went to a hospital that cares for "suckers" and "losers."
Granted that's he had to be taken, but the irony is just... ironic.
I wish some of those "suckers" and "losers" would sneak into his room at night and give him a galaxy-class blanket party.
Do we know it's really him in that car?
Maybe it's tin hat time, but you could barely see him in the car. Sitting too high to show hair, and he's wearing a mask.
Could this maybe possibly be another lie?
Or do we have any photos of him actually walking out to get in the car?
We were told T had Covid by his doctor via a memo.
Hmmm.... didn't it come out that T dictated a letter to his old personal doctor, stating that T was in perfect health?
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
I'm going to call my local news outlets and ask if anyone is considering that this may all be a lie.
If it's another lie, and this close to the elections, it would be a bigger story than him getting it.
I'm encouraging you to do the same with your local outlets
Well, assuming this is all true and not another distraction,
it couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
