Soph0571's JournalI have yet to witness a more splendid descriptor of MAGA hats..
As seen in the comment section on a thread about Ilhan Omar on The Root:
Heh. Indeed
Black US politician says white man told her to 'go back where you came from' as she shopped...
...with young daughter
Erica Thomas, a Democrat from Austell, said the man was irate that she was in an express queue with too many items.
----------
And this white man comes up to me and says, You lazy son of a bitch, Ms Thomas said, sobbing as she described the confrontation in a Facebook video. He says, You lazy son of a bitch, you need to go back where you came from.

Of course this was going to happen. Trump has given racists explicit permission to behave in this way. It is all going to ramp up the closer we get to 2020.
Look at him... he is loving it. Fucking nasty bastard, egging on the worst of society.
The clock is now ticking for the end of the union ...
I want his assessment to be wrong, but I really don't think it is..
The Moon landing - fifty years ago today - reminds us of the importance of good news
-----
The emotional effect was only heightened by how this uplifting, invigorating demonstration of American prowess could turn to tragedy in a nano-second and the 94 per cent of TV-owning Americans who tuned in to watch knew it. So when the crew splashed down safely in the Pacific Ocean on July 24, this tale of Herculean endeavour was assured a happy ending. For once the news couldnt get much better.
People had been following the whole space program and all the previous rocket launches, so this was the climax of a story that had been building for a long time, with everyone invested in it together, says Arthur Markman, a professor in the department of psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. But nowadays with streaming services we cant even watch a TV show at the same time.
-----
If you dont hear good news, it can lead to a degree of cynicism about public elements such as government and corporations, and if all we hear is a stream of bad news about them, it is easy to disengage, Markman says. Good news is valuable to remind us about why institutions exist. The moon landing reinforced this idea that we live in a world of technological marvels.

A sense of optimism in such dark times would be very welcome!
Furious KKK sues Donald Trump for copyright infringement
He told reporters, I was a supporter of Donald Trump from the early days. I knew from the way he treated black tenants that he was one of us. But everybody knows that a crowd of semi-literate angry white trash chanting hateful slurs towards ethnic minorities is our thing. And whipping up racial hatred then standing there like a pompous buffoon while it peaks has been the preserve of Grand Wizards since the birth of the Klan.
We dont want him to stop, far from it. But we do want credit when its due. We have been saying that non-white people are not true Americans for decades. Hes selling his MAGA hats on the back of our brand. He can either stop, or give us a piece of the action. I mean, do we wait until he starts setting fire to crosses before we object?
Mr Trumps team quickly responded to the lawsuit by saying it was utterly without merit. As explained White House counsel Clint Tinnock.
This is just an attempt from an outfit with low ratings to cash in on Donald Trumps amazing success at harnessing bigotry. Anyone who has seen this presidents rallies knows that mindlessly yelling hateful chants is part and parcel of the experience and always has been.

Funny in we are completely fucked right now kinda of way. When satire could be an article in any newspaper we know you are in trouble!
Trump supporters ask if the dictionary should be banned because it contains racist words
In the past, they have questioned why Beto O'Rourke is so opposed to Trump having a border wall when he lives in a house that also has walls.
Now they are attempting to defend the president's racist tweets aimed at four congresswomen, by saying that the dictionary is also racist because it contains the words that Trump said.
In a tweet posted on Wednesday, the duo criticised Nancy Pelosi for calling Trump's words 'racist' and suggested that all 'dictionaries be banned since Democrats are offended by words.'

That is some special kind of stupid...
Hehe
When he came for OUR POTUS, Republicans were silent..
An existential battle for Western progressive values...
On one side
.
Strident, jarring, abrasive, bigoted horde shovelled shit by the 1% (and the Russians) who will cling to their minority rule, based on centuries of exploitation, with their last breath. The horde will quite literally advocate democracy dying cause muslims, teh gay, socialism etc et al
On the other
.
A logical fact driven range of citizens of all backgrounds, urgently in the hunt for accord around by what means we address the central inequalities of our communities and the imminent environmental catastrophe that should be front and centre in everyones consciousness.
I have no wish to be hyperbolic, but the future of civilisation may well be at stake.
