Regarding Bernie and Gun Control

I have a question!

So, I know Bernie gets a D- from the NRA. I know he's all about gun control and that the people against him are going to parade around that he's pro gun because he signed something that protects manufacturers of firearms from being held accountable for the deaths caused by their guns.

So my question is this, since Hillary is pushing for this, do you think Bernie will as well? If not, why not?

I myself kind of feel that holding gun manufacturers accountable for the deaths of innocent people is holding the wrong people accountable. I'm more the type that believes, hey, guns don't kill people, PEOPLE kill people.

Guns can have their uses, and we can legislate action that makes their availability a lot more finite and controlled. But I don't think allowing people to sue gun manufacturers will teach those who are truly responsible a lesson. It's kind of like taking your anger out on the guy who makes knives, instead of the culture that encourages violence and stabbings.

So in a way, even if Bernie doesn't follow Hillary's lead, I'm cool with not holding those companies accountable either.

This is only my opinion so... don't hurt me! D:

A Reality Check/Dampener for Bernie Fans Regarding the Upcoming Debates.

Hello everyone!

It's EIGHT days away! Can you believe it?!?!

Finally! Bernie will be unleashed in his true bull dog, take no BS form and show everyone what he can do!

He will finally be able to directly confront his competition and show what he is, side by side with them. No more blackout now, he's getting the same stage as the lady that can pull hundreds of headlines just by telling some jokes on SNL.

However my friends, I wanted to write this OP to remind us all of something here.

This debate is still a staged event and it is controlled by CNN.

We need look no further than the blatantly biased treatment given to the Republican candidates during their debates.

Some were given greater screentime compared to others, some were barely asked any questions.

Now that may be a case of there being so many candidates on stage, which won't be the case with the Democratic debate. But even so, the same kind of catering can be executed in this debate.

A moderator can always cut Bernie short but allow Hillary as much time to pontificate as possible. The cameras can cut to Hillary while Bernie speaks, but stay on Hillary when she speaks.

Be aware of this. Live television events like these are meticulously structured events and while things can definitely become ad-libbed they still very much have a direction to go.

And knowing what the MSM is capable of and what tricks we've already seen them pull during other debates, we can be quite sure that the same will happen here.

That said, get some popcorn, grab some fellow Bernie supporters and sit down for this thing because its going to be a wild ride!

Be aware of those MSM priorities...

Bernie has a rally in Boston, MA that contains over 20,000 people. A couple of headlines. They don't show up on news.google.com on the front page, you'll have to search.

Hillary makes a SNL appearance (again), headlines everywhere for SNL, (not hillary) but they keep mentioning how great SNL's ratings got (because of Hillary).

Bernie has a rally that matters, and gets a little something.

Hillary does a comedy skit, and it is everywhere.

Pay attention to that difference. Do we elect an entertainer or an activist?

Just my observation.

I just found out my sister and brother in law like Trump

Keep in mind, I've never been particularly political until Bernie inspired me so the fact that they are coming to light as hard right wingers to me is big news.

I'm kind of ashamed right now, I could see it in my bro in law somewhat, but not my sister! our own parents, like me are Bernie supporters!

I need a drink.... being political is really kind of a life changer. I kind of hate how it gives me a new lens to view people through. sigh...

I see it this way, it's extremely simple and logical to me

Do we vote for who we believe could win?

or

Do we vote for who we believe should win?
