Arizona GOP delegates resign rather than vote for Trump

" PHOENIX (KPHO/KTVK) -
At least two of several Arizona GOP delegates that have resigned say it's primarily because they refuse to vote for Donald Trump at next month's national convention.

The Arizona Capitol Times reports that nine of the state's 58 delegates to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland have stepped down.

[Raw video: Donald Trump campaign speech in Phoenix - June 18, 2016]

Former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Frank Riggs and Zuhdi Jasser, a Muslim reform advocate, say they were willing to go if there was a chance of a contested convention.

Jasser says he also takes issue with Trump's immigration ban specifically targeting Muslims.

The other resigning delegates include top elected officials such as Attorney General Mark Brnovich and Secretary of State Michele Reagan.

Brnovich and Reagan cited previous commitments as the reason for missing the convention. "

Donald Trump threatens to self-fund campaign if GOP support wavers

" LAS VEGAS — Donald Trump on Saturday claimed most of the money he's been collecting at his recent fundraisers is going to the Republican Party, but also threatened to cut the GOP off if support from the party wavers.

"Right now I'm raising a lot of money for the Republican Party, and a lot of beneficiaries to that, and I like doing it," Trump said.

"Life is like a two-way street, right?" Trump said. "They have to [help], otherwise I'll just keep doing what I'm doing, I'll just keep funding my own campaign...for me, that's the easy way," he said.

Trump: "Don't let them take your guns away"

http://www.reuters.com/video/2016/06/18/trump-dont-let-them-take-your-guns-away?videoId=368965689&videoChannel=1

Unless, of course, you want to be anywhere near where Trump is:

"...
...
n an effort to keep bullets out of the soup of heat, hydration and hyperbole, local, state and federal law enforcement officials said Friday they will enforce a no-gun zone at the fairgrounds.

Cecil said guns were initially going to be restricted from the coliseum, but that was expanded Friday to the entire fairgrounds.

“For all of those common sense reasons you’re probably thinking,” Cecil said, “it’s probably best to leave guns at home tomorrow.”

Cecil said no specific threat prompted the decision, which was made in collaboration with Trump’s campaign, the U.S. Secret Service and the Phoenix Police Department.

Trump sues celebrity chef for refusing to help enrich him...

and yet his followers will whine until their last breath about the bakery sued (successfully) for refusing to bake a cake for a gay wedding.

" Trump in Washington for deposition in lawsuit against celebrity chef
WASHINGTON | BY MEG GARNER

Republican Donald Trump spent about two hours at a Washington law firm on Thursday for
a deposition in his lawsuit against celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian, who withdrew last year
from a deal to open a restaurant at Trump's new hotel after the candidate made
disparaging comments about Mexican immigrants.

REALLY Presidential:

"Trump Responds to Seth Meyers ‘Ban’ by (What Else) Insulting His Ratings
by Josh Feldman | 7:50 pm, June 15th, 2016

Seth Meyers tore into Donald Trump last night for implying some nefarious things about President Obama and terrorism. But he also lampooned The Donald for revoking press access to WaPo and joke-banned Trump from his show in solidarity.

Well, believe it or not, Trump actually sent out a statement, obtained by TheWrap, firing back at Meyers by going after (what else) his ratings:

“He has begged me to do the show for the last two years. I have told him emphatically ‘no.’ I only like doing shows with good ratings, which as everybody knows, I only make better (by a lot).”

Now, Meyers has actually been doing fairly well in the ratings and has been beating out his 12:35 am competitors (James Corden and Nightline.)

But perhaps the real reason Trump won’t come on is that before last year, Meyers delivered arguably the most seismic Trump takedown to date at the 2011 White House Correspondents Dinner."

Trump's Connection to the Maker of the Weapon Used in Orlando

"Donald Trump Jr. holding a Sig Sauer MCX at the company's New Hampshire factory. (His brother, Eric, is second from right.) Sig Sauer/Facebook"

"In his many public remarks since a gunman carried out the deadliest mass shooting in US history, Donald Trump has not specifically mentioned the weapon used in Orlando: a military-style "Black Mamba" MCX. But Trump is quite familiar with the manufacturer of the rifle, Sig Sauer—he and his sons have used the gunmaker as a backdrop for Trump's presidential campaign.

Last May, as Trump was poised to launch his presidential bid, he personally toured the Sig Sauer factory in New Hampshire, where the company makes most of its 74,000 semi-automatic rifles sold in the US market. This February, his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric toured the factory, posing for a photo with MCX rifles. And early this year Trump addressed a crowd at the National Shooting Sports Foundation's annual trade show in Las Vegas, where his sons also posed for photos with Sig Sauer representatives.
