WASHINGTON, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Donald Trump is due to meet with one of America's biggest unions on Wednesday as he competes for the support of labor groups ahead of a likely general election rematch with Democratic President Joe Biden in November.
Trump is due to sit down with the leadership and some rank-and-file members of the Teamsters, just days after the former Republican president reacted angrily to losing out on the endorsement from another union, the United Auto Workers.
Trump's meeting with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters comes during a 2024 presidential campaign in which the economy is front and center, and unions have seen a resurgence in the United States with many including the Teamsters winning new significant contracts.

Yesterday in the local news it was being reported that a Delta Flight. Boeing 737 mind you had lost a NOSE GEAR
this bogus reporting should have said that the plane lost a NOSE GEAR TIRE that is big fucking difference........it is still a dangerous sistuation that I am not trying to minimize...
To put on tire on an aircraft you have to set the brakes, make sure wheel chocks are in place, put a gear pin in the strut and jack the plane up. You have to break the safety wire on the nut holding the tire to the gear to remove a tire or brake .
Then you take the tire off while at the same time following the MM ATA code 32 procedure at all times, you then put the new tire on the gear, torque the nut down back the nut off re-torque the nut and spin check the wheel after brakes ( on main gear if that is the tire being replaced ) to see if it spins and verify torque and safety wire off the gear nut and if a bolts is on the nut safety wire that off , and then take the jack out from under the gear, remove the gear pins and then release the brakes and then as a mechanic sign off the log book to the MM ATA Code 32 procedure ,and if I fail to follow the procedure then it's my ass that has to have to answer to the inquisitive minds at the FAA and maintenance Control of the airline............this incident was not Boeing's fault.......... and the mechanic"s holding there license will be questioned by the MM department of Delta and the FAA............
So maybe before the tv stations have on there chyron that a gear fals off the plane of a Boeing 737, maybe they should re-evaluate that BS before using more scare tactics ..............

A Republican congressman is now touting bringing federal funding to his district to fix an important bridge. But as one columnist recently noted, he not only voted against the bill that provided those funds — he baselessly referred to it as "socialism."
Rep. Pete Stauber (R-Minnesota) issued a press release over the weekend celebrating $1.8 billion to update the Blatnik Bridge, which connects Duluth, Minnesota to Superior, Wisconsin. He also posted a tweet to his official Congressional X/Twitter account, calling it a "HUGE win" for his district.
"The Blatnik Bridge is aging, and its restoration is essential to ensuring continued economic success, which is why I have long fought for these funds. Securing the money to help replace this bridge has been a top priority for both states, and I am proud to have worked with my Minnesota and Wisconsin Congressional colleagues to secure this critical investment," Stauber stated. "I look forward to seeing this project benefit countless industries, employers, health care patients, commuters, and tourists for years to come."

Possibly they just went to till the soil for Donald Trump's daydream of winning in New York, but honestly, who really knows what these nazis with their khaki pants and matching scarves really think they're doing? Maybe they don't think much at all.
When I visited New York last year, I tapped my Apple watch and the turnstile let me right in. It was so easy even a Nazi could do it. Or maybe not.
At any rate, they went to the Big Apple to take a bite out of it, and got hung up at the subway turnstiles.

There was debate over the weekend about whether Donald Trump would testify in his E. Jean Carroll damages trial on Monday — with many legal experts discussing the disaster that could unfold.
As it turned out, an ill juror forced a last-minute pause for a day, but the short morning of activity was enough for MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin to admit she was wrong. She had assumed Trump was not going to testify — but what she saw in court Monday morning convinced her he was ready to go.
"Trump was definitely ready and eager to testify. What makes me say that?" she wrote on social media. "As the press assembled in our assigned rows of the courtroom this morning, one of the court marshals ejected a slim, curly-haired woman from a bench on the other side of the courtroom. Many of us gasped because that woman was Trump criminal defense lawyer Susan Necheles."

So he finds Representative Perry, whoever it was, Pennsylvania, and who gets a staffer to agree to meet us at 3:45 pm. And so, I don't know why we did that. So Mike Brown, you know, I had the Wisconsin stuff, Mike Brown had the Michigan stuff. We walked to the Longworth Office Building and the guy with Perry or whatever his name is, and some other fellow, they were like staff members in the House, took them and said we were going to walk them over to the Senate and give it to a stem staffer. I guess it was a stem staffer for Johnson. And so that's how, I don't know why logistically we didn't take it directly to Johnson, but that's how we did that.
We're getting pretty far from when the story first broke of RoJo's involvement in the whole treasonous affair and he claimed to not even knowing who the sender was or what was being sent. And if RoJo felt he had to fake a phone call then, I can't even imagine how far he'd go now. Fake having a heart attack, maybe?

Jim Jordan and James Comer get shut down in effort to block probe of right-wing activist

Washington, D.C. Attorney General Brian L. Schwalb sent a letter to Reps. James Comer (R-KY) and Jim Jordan (R-OH) on Tuesday said that he won't be cooperating with their investigations into conspiracy theories about a far-right judicial activist.
"After thoughtful consideration, I must reiterate what I stated in my prior correspondence of November 13, 2023: our office has a longstanding policy—consistent with the policies of law enforcement agencies across the country—not to confirm, deny, or otherwise comment on potential or pending investigations," explained Schwalb.
The lawmakers sought confirmation of, and documents related to, a "reported effort to investigate Leonard Leo and certain nonprofit organizations with which he is affiliated."

Former President Donald Trump isn't the only candidate facing legal action to remove him from the ballot under the Insurrection Clause of the 14th Amendment — far-right Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) is as well.
According to ABC 27, Harrisburg-area activist and former congressional candidate Gene Stilp filed the lawsuit, which seeks to have Pennsylvania Secretary of State Al Schmidt disqualify the lawmaker.
"The lawsuit alleges Perry helped push conspiracy theories that the 2020 election was stolen and advanced efforts to replace the Attorney General with a Trump loyalist," reported George Stockburger. "'Scott Perry was a leading proponent of using the January 6, 2021 Congressional presidential election certification process to disrupt the transfer of presidential administration from Trump to Biden,' says the lawsuit, [citing] the FBI’s seizure of Perry’s cellphone records and other accusations made against Perry following the January 6 attack."

I'm not sure where Mr. Fancy Pants buys his apples, but I got mine for 89 cents about a month ago with some pork chops on sale. I'm not fancy, though.
