SummerSnow's JournalAnn Coulter: Blame The Gays, Not Climate Change For Hurricane Harvey. Yep.
By James Michael Nichols
It wouldnt be a devastating storm without someone trying to blame the gays!
Yes, everyone, Ann Coulter is back at it. This time the right-wing media pundit is using Twitter to insinuate that Houston electing a lesbian mayor is a more likely explanation for Hurricane Harvey than climate change.
Yep, you read that right.
The mayor in question is Houstons Annise Parker, one of the first openly gay mayors of a major U.S. city.
Coulter is no stranger to making anti-gay claims. Shes previously said that gay marriage is not a civil right and stated that sexually active gay men should feel guilty about it. This is all the while trying to appeal to a subset of conservative gay, white men.
Thanks ever so much for helping the victims of Harvey know where to place their blame, Ann!

Trumps administration is considering reducing visas for U.S. cultural and work exchange programs,
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-immigration-visas-idUSKCN1B70XX
(Reuters) - President Donald Trumps administration is
considering reducing visas for U.S. cultural and work exchange programs, including au pairs and summer workers, the Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday.
Trump, a former New York real estate magnate who has relied on seasonal workers at his hotels and resorts, campaigned on promises to restore American jobs.
The Wall Street Journal said the U.S. government was eyeing major reductions for five of the employment-based cultural exchange visas in the J-1 visa program, citing unnamed sources.
The J-1 program also includes visas for university students, but the WSJ said those were not under examination for cuts.
A U.S. State Department fact sheet says the J-1 visa program has 15 categories that provide opportunities for around 300,000 foreign visitors per year to experience U.S. society and culture.
The State Department said it did not have an immediate comment on the report on Sunday evening.
*This 'reduction' is code word for non-European workers
Trump Divorces the GOP Congress
Trump Divorces the GOP Congress
Republicans need to think of Trump as a political independent.

A biographer says Donald Trump once told him that he informed second wife Marla Maples he was seeking a divorce by leaking it to the New York Post. President Trump now seems to be using Twitter to tell Republicans in Congress that hes divorcing them, or at least seeking a trial separation, and for its own self-preservation the GOP Congress is going to have to find different living arrangements.

Trump Retweets Meme of Himself Eclipsing Obama in Twitter Frenzy
by KALHAN ROSENBLATT
President Donald Trump launched into a Twitter frenzy on Thursday morning, retweeting a meme and sending out typo-laden tweets to his followers then deleting and tweeting again.
The president's morning on Twitter kicked off with a post attacking Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan about the debt ceiling and legislation he hoped GOP leaders would pass.
"I requested that Mitch M & Paul R tie the Debt Ceiling legislation into the popular V.A. Bill (which just passed) for easy approval. They..." Trump wrote in the first tweet. He soon added, "...didn't do it so now we have a big deal with Dems holding them up (as usual) on Debt Ceiling approval. Could have been so easy-now a mess!" He later added: "The only problem I have with Mitch McConnell is that, after hearing Repeal & Replace for 7 years, he failed! That should NEVER have happened!"
About an hour after the first posting, Trump set the Twitterverse abuzz after he retweeted a meme showing himself "eclipsing" President Barack Obama.
The four-way split image shows Trump moving slowly into frame until he completely covers the image of Obama. Trump is in color. Obama is in black and white.
The text on the meme reads, The Best Eclipse Ever!"
The image came from YouTube actor and self-described political junkie Jerry Travone, who tweeted the meme at Trump.

*And I read the best comment about this....
So in this meme Obama is the sun, giving life and energy to the world, and Trump is a large, lifeless object blocking out the sun, plunging the world into darkness. Yes, that says it all.-Mary

Trump pressures McConnell to "protect him" from Russia.
Trump Blew A Gasket Because Mitch McConnell Wont Protect Him From The Russia InvestigationBy Jason Easley on Tue, Aug 22nd, 2017 at 6:16 pm
The real reason why Trump is angry at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is that he blames McConnell for not doing enough to protect him from the Russia investigation.
The New York Times reported on a profane phone call between McConnell and Trump, During the call, which Mr. Trump initiated on Aug. 9 from his New Jersey golf club, the president accused Mr. McConnell of bungling the health care issue. He was even more animated about what he intimated was the Senate leaders refusal to protect him from investigations of Russian interference in the 2016 election, according to Republicans briefed on the conversation.
The hostilities between Trump and McConnell are very real. McConnell is outraged that Trump refuses to learn about governing, and continues to attack his own partys senators. Trump is blaming McConnell for not protecting him from the Russia investigation.
There are a couple of important points to keep in mind. Innocent people dont need to be protected from investigations, and it seems that Trumps plan to avoid going down for the Russia scandal was to use the entire Republican Party to hide his potential crimes. Mitch McConnell enabled Trump to do whatever he did with the Russians by not issuing a joint statement with Obama condemning Russian election hacking, but there is a clear dividing line when it comes to covering for Trump and going down with the administration.
Republican Senators feel no loyalty to Trump, and there will be no hesitation to push Trump overboard if he and the Russia scandal become a liability.
The whole Trump gets mad because he thinks someone should have protected him from the Russia investigation should sound familiar. Trump was angry at Attorney General Jeff Sessions for the same reason.
If there were nothing to the Russia investigation, Trump wouldnt need protection. The fact that the President thinks he does is an indication that the surface has just begun to be scratched in the Russia scandal.
