Ian Bayne, GOP Congressional Candidate: 'Duck Dynasty Star Is Rosa Parks Of Our Generation'

Source: Huff Post

Embattled "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson has been suspended from his show by A&E for his remarks about gays and African-Americans, and now some high-profile conservatives are rallying to his side and defending him. On Friday, GOP congressional candidate Ian Bayne went all in, comparing Robertson to civil rights icon Rosa Parks.

"In December 1955, Rosa Parks took a stand against an unjust societal persecution of black people, and in December 2013, Robertson took a stand against persecution of Christians," Bayne said in an email to supporters.

"What Parks did was courageous," he added. "What Mr. Robertson did was courageous too."

Robertson's anti-gay remarks in an interview with GQ comparing homosexuality to bestiality have received quite a bit of attention. But he also commented on the state of African-Americans during the Jim Crow era, claiming that they were all carefree and totally happy with their (unequal) status:

It's courageous to be a racist, bigoted asshole? Then I guess David Duke is one of the most courageous people in the county.

Top Ten Conservative Idiots of the Week

The Lily White Christmas Edition

Megyn Kelly’s dreaming of a white Christmas, with no blacks or browns or off-whites (1). Where pastors are raping (2) and Russians are gay baiting (5) to see Domino’s firing workers refusing to work for less than minimum wage (8). May your days be merry and bright, and may all rich princelings get off for killing someone with their cars because they’re white (and rich) (10). And as always, don't forget the key. Remember, you can run your mouse over the icon to see what it means. At the end, the writer will give a small tribute to one of the greatest men of the past 100 years.

Another week, and more Fox News drivel to look at. This time, Fox News rising star and spokesmodel Megyn Kelly decided to weigh on the Fox Noise’s contrived War on Christmas. At issue is Aisha Harris’s Slate.com article where she says America needs to give up “Santa-as-fat-old-white-man” and maybe make the gift giver of Christmas a penguin.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]HARRIS: “For one thing, making Santa Claus an animal rather than an old white male could spare millions of non-white kids the insecurity and shame that I remember from childhood

Logical. Santa as a white guy does sound like White Man’s burden to me. . .giving gifts to the downtrodden while those selfish minorities don’t do anything. Maybe making the gift giver sexless, raceless and ageless will make it more egalitarian.

Never mind that. Megyn Kelly stepped right up and told Harris she’s gone ”way off the rails,” which is the nice, Fox way os calling someone a damned, anti-American, un-American flag burning, apple pie hating scumbag!

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]“For all you kids watching at home, Santa just is white,” Kelly said. “But this person is just arguing that maybe we should also have a black Santa. But Santa is what he is.”
“Just because it makes you feel uncomfortable doesn’t mean it has to change, you know?” she added. “I mean, Jesus was a white man too. He was a historical figure, that’s a verifiable fact, as is Santa — I just want the kids watching to know that.”

Santa is white? Who cares? Honestly. . .does it matter, since Santa is make believe? Apparently, it does to Megyn Kelly, because she doubled down hard on her statement earlier over the next few days.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]“For all you kids watching at home, Santa just is white,” Kelly said at the time. “But this person is just arguing that maybe we should also have a black Santa. “Just because it makes you feel uncomfortable doesn’t mean it has to change, you know?” she added. “I mean, Jesus was a white man too. He was a historical figure, that’s a verifiable fact, as is Santa — I just want the kids watching to know that.”

Yes, because kids watch Fixed News all the time. Screw Cartoon Network. Screw sports. Hell, even screw WWE. When kids get home, they flip on Fixed Noise and zone out. Cue Rev. Lovejoy’s wife “won’t someone please think about the children” whine from The Simpsons.

She didn’t stop there!

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]“I offered a tongue-in-cheek message for any kids watching,” she explained. “Humor is a part of what we try to bring to this show, but sometimes that is lost on the humorless.”

“Many questioning whether I understand that Santa is a mythical figure, others’ suggesting that I am a racist who is outraged at the idea of a black Santa,” she continued. “Well, this would be funny if it were not so telling about our society, in particular the knee-jerk instinct by so may to race bait and to assume the worst in people. Especially people employed by the very powerful Fox News channel.”

The point of humor is to be funny, Megyn. There is little funny in you. Now, George Carlin. . .that’s funny. Chris Rock, Bill Maher. . .hell, even Jeff Dunham. . .they’re funny. Your humor is just sad. And the reason there is a “knee jerk” reaction is being you’re a jerk. Simple and easy.

Still, one of her followers decided that since it’s okay to be a racist asshole on Fixed Noise, it’s okay to be a racist asshole in the classroom as well.

The move came after students at Cleveland High School were told they could come to class dressed as Santa, an elf or a reindeer.

Michael Rougier said his ninth-grade son, Christopher, arrived wearing a Santa hat and beard, and the teacher asked the boy: "Don't you know Santa Clause is white? Why are you wearing that?"

Wow. . Just wow! Thanks, Megyn. Your bullshit gave the clueless morons that watch your drivel the cue to be racist to 14 year old boys.

God is a great excuse for people to do some of the most heartless things to other people. People kill for God. People hate for God. People murder each other because the voice in their head is God and God told them it’s a good idea. People torture in the name of God. In Jacoby Kindred’s case raped girls in the name of God.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]A 61-year-old Minnesota pastor was charged this week with raping two girls for nearly a decade.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported that a complaint filed in Ramsey County District Court on Wednesday said that Jacoby Kindred began sexually abusing the girls when they were only about 6 years old.

Wow. Six year old girls have demons inside them and only the unlawful injection of a man’s penis will end the torment? Wow, religion is amazing!

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]The younger of the two girls told a nurse at Midwest Children’s Resource Center that Kindred began digitally penetrating her at the age of 6. He later forced her to perform oral sex on him and then progressed to intercourse, the girl said.

“He told her the devil was inside her and he could take the demons out of her,” according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Blowjobs for Jesus? This couldn’t get any sicker.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]The complaint said that Kindred had maintained that he had done nothing wrong, calling Minnesota a “ladies’ state.”

And apparently ladies also means six year old girls. Just when I think this man couldn’t do something or say something to make himself look more stupid and worse, he keeps right on talking.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]“You weren’t there, nobody was there!” he reportedly said, adding that the police should “[g]et your warrants, do what you gotta do, no DNA, none of that.”

“These are not really kids,” Kindred insisted the St. Paul Pioneer Press on Thursday. “They have the mind of the adult.”

“All a woman has to do (in Minnesota) is make an accusation, true or false, and the man’s going to be in trouble,” he explained.

Wow! People normally don’t rape a child in public, pastor. Most people would frown on shit like that.

Second, a six year old has the mind of an adult, so they aren’t really kids? Well, their minds may be adult, but the law says they are still kids.

Third. . .it’s very difficult to convince a jury that a six year old kid has the ability to make up rape. I don’t believe they are that cunning. Now, making excuses for eating cookies, yes. Trying to lie out of getting into trouble, of course. Making up being orally and vaginally raped. . .umm, not so much.

So the next time you have a demon inside you, go see Jacoby Kindred. But, don’t worry, ladies. According to “Dr” Todd Akin, you won’t get pregnant if it’s legitimate rape. And we all know that since you opened up your legs and let the goodness of the Lord shine through, it isn’t legitimate rape. It’s divine intervention.

Now, are those demons gone yet? Or will the demon stay in prison after his conviction?

After being kicked off CNN and Fixed Noise, Glenn Beck is running his own worthless TV network with S.E. Cupp that few people watch and care about while bloviating from his microphone being a mini-Rush. He loves to attack progressives and apparently now, he has targetted the Pope.

Recently, the Pope won Person of the Year. Normally, whenever the Pope says does something, most of the world cringes. But Pope Francis seems to be different. And he actually seems to take his job seriously as one to help the poor, downtrodden masses without requiring them to be Catholic. For that, the Pope is becoming wildly popular. But Beck sees a conspiracy theory.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]“It makes me nervous about the pope, quite honestly,” Beck said, drawing a comparison between the head of the Catholic Church and President Barack Obama.

“He makes me a little concerned on his Marxist tendencies,” he explained. “When you’re not on prepared remarks, Marxism starts to creep into your language. When you’re asked questions by people, you start to say, ‘Look, I don’t want to hurt you, I just think that redistribution of wealth isn’t so bad.’”

Jesus was a fucking Marxist. All that love thy neighbor, help the poor, tax the rich. . .he’s a communist. Republican Jesus loves the wealthy and hates the poor. “Fucked be the poor” and “Blessed are the warmongerers.” I’m sure the New Testament says that someplace.

No fear. Beck chose his personal “Man of the Year.”

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Conservative radio host Glenn Beck on Wednesday reacted to Pope Francis being named Time‘s 2013 Person of the Year by naming Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) as his “Man of the Year.”

Ted “Booze” Cruz. Because his 21 hour Ted “Cruz” Talk did so much to help the poor in Congo (the poorest nation in the world) or advance civil and human rights that he deserves to be mentioned.

As always, Beck, like all conservatives like to mention that Time also picked

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]“The reason why they didn’t pick Ted Cruz is because they don’t want to give him any more power,” he opined. “I mean, they’ll put Hitler on — they did make Hitler and Mussolini the Man of the Year.”

They did? Right Wing Watch researched that. He’s half right.

Whoops! And checking out Wikipedia, Beck lied again. However, one can see the Winston Churchill, Dwight Eisenhower, Lyndon Johnson, George W. Bush, Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan were all elected Person of the year twice. So was Deng Xiaoping, Josef Stalin and Mikhail Gorbachev. I guess Churchill is a Marxist too. Oh, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were POTY twice. . .FDR thrice. Please proceed, Alex Jones prototype.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]“Remember, progressives are fascists, they are for fascism. Congratulations,” Beck added. “I can tell you right now that they may have put Ted Cruz in the little pool to have his name looked at but nobody considered him.”

Oh. . .so because Pope Francis won, Time is fascist. I wonder if he thought that when the BFEE won it three times (once with Poppa Bush, twice with Bush the Lesser).

So, there we have it. Ted Cruz is Glenn Beck’s “person of the year” and progressives are fascists. There’s no punchline here. Glenn Beck is a punchline all by himself.

BTW, Francis wasn’t the first Pope. Pope John Paul II and Pope John XXIII won too. Fascists. All of them! Even Chiang Kai-Shek and Soong Mei-Ling are fascists. THE ENTIRE WORLD IS FASCIST!!! Glenn Beck sees them everywhere. So buy gold from his sponsors to protect yourself from the creeping fascism.

Wow, Russia is in a world of shit now. Between Edward Snowden’s temporary asylum (the Top Ten is not touching that one with a ten foot pole) and their gay bashing laws in the face of the 2014 protests and growing boycotts of the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia is looking bad. With Putin consolidating power and looking like he wants to bring back the old style authoritarian rule (sans the Communism) of Stalin, Russia has numerous black eyes. Maybe someone can make the country look good in the eyes of the world.

Step forward, Ivan Ohklobystin. He’s a “famous” Russian actors whose biggest claim to fame was running for, and being trounced in, Russian President two years ago. He has something to say to all you gayo-people and gayo-supporters out there: Go screw yourselves.

Nazi reference #2. This time it comes to us from the Good Old U.S. Of A. In Chris Christie’s backyard (enter jokes about his size here), Jersey City mayor Steven Fulop has decided to try to ask gun vendors for help in gun control policy development. According to Think Progress:

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]He (Fulop) will disseminate a survey to all vendors bidding to supply firearms to local law enforcement asking how they handle gun safety issues, including whether they take steps to prevent illegal gun trafficking.

Sensible. Logical. Forward thinking. Loooong overdue, but it’s a start. Ask those who sell and those who enforce laws for their input and ideas for enforcing current laws and strengthening new ones.

Never mind that shit. Scott Bach, NRA flunkie, sees Nazis everywhere with that. While on the NRA’s vanity show, Bach uttered this drivel.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]BACH: Succeeding [the previous mayor] is a guy named Steve Fulop, who is actually relatively young, but it seems like it's a requirement if you're going to be a Jersey City mayor you have to by default be anti-gun. And here is the interesting thing about this guy, Cam. He's an ex-Marine. Well, what I should say is, he worked for Goldman Sachs in the financial industry and was close to 9-11 when it happened and he was motivated to join the Marines for a few years, which he did. His grandparents were Holocaust survivors according to Wikipedia. So you've got to wonder why he is not getting it.

Oh. . .there’s the talking point. Nazis took guns away from Germans which enabled them to take over Germany, destroy Jewish lives and start the worst war in the history of humanity. It was gun control. Except when it’s wrong, which it is, which makes it wrong.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]2. Hitler: The NRA and others quickly latched onto the myth that likens gun control to Hitler’s fascism post-Sandy Hook. If only Jews were allowed to have their guns, they suggest, Jews could have prevented the Holocaust. It’s been repeated at length, no matter that this claim has no credibility whatsoever, historically and factually. Yes, Hitler confiscated guns from Jews, along with persecuting them in virtually every other way, but he also simultaneously exempted Nazis entirely from gun regulations. Even the fact that Nazis had unregulated access to guns is not really a full explanation: Jews who did have guns had little success fighting back against the state-sanctioned military regime oppressing them.

Never mind those leftist facts or that liberally biased reality, Bach sees Nazis. And he has an edict for Steven Fulop.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]And you know, look, I'm calling for a boycott of Jersey City by manufacturers, they should all refuse to fill out this questionnaire. You should not be politicizing the process of procuring firearms for your law enforcement agency, you shouldn't be politicizing that.

Let’s see. According to the NRA, no one should bring up gun control:

01: Before a mass shooting, because it doesn’t happen.
02: Immediately after a mass shooting, because you’re politicizing a tragedy
03: Long after a mass shooting, because it doesn’t happen much.
04: After a cop is killed in the line of duty, because you shouldn’t punish the law abiding.
05: Any day that ends in “y,” because God doesn’t like it.

After his little diatribe, Mayor Fulop went home, had dinner, took a big shit, climbed into bed and fell asleep, apparently not giving a tinker’s damn what some uber-loon at the NRA thinks.

Which is what all politicians should do. But don’t.

A year ago last week, a gun nut went into Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT and shot and killed 20 students and six teachers. No one gives a damn that the psycho killed himself. Which is the way it should be.

Fox News decided to honor those who died by bringing on a gun nut.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Fox News host Chris Wallace said on Sunday that he interviewed a fringe conservative gun lobbyist in order to balance the debate about gun law on the anniversary of the slaughter of 20 elementary school children in Newtown, Connecticut.

Balance? BALANCE??? Seriously? Sensible gun control advocate v. Fringe right wing gun nut? Some people don’t need a forum. Okay, bring on Gary Pratt

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]"Now, for the other side of the gun debate," Wallace announced. "Larry Pratt is executive director Gun Owners of America."

"We're not really going to able to talk about a victory until we get rid of the laws that prohibit people from having guns to protect themselves in schools and in other places," Pratt explained. "Every one of our mass murders in our country has occurred in places where guns were prohibited."

Really? A military base has no guns? There was a mass shooting there. And schools now need guns? Issue the students books, supplies and a Glock as standard school equipment. And if they “stand their ground,” they can kill at will.

Dumbo didn’t stop there.
[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]The gun lobbyist went on to say that even existing restriction had to be repealed because they were "lethal."
"It is killing people," he insisted. "All of these gun-free zones are murder magnets, and we've simply got to get rid of them. It's an illusion to think that somehow we're going to be safer because we can't have a gun in a particular area because the bad guy is going to have a gun."

Really? Parks are murder magnets? Supermarkets? My God. . .do these people listen to themselves.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Pratt asserted that opinion polls were wrong and that 90 percent of Americans did not favor background checks for guns.

"The problem is when are we going to stop good guys from having guns to protect themselves so that when of when of one of these dirt bags goes into a mall or a school, somebody is able to protect themselves and others by having their own gun," he said.

Oh. . .parrot Wayne LaPierre’s good guy-bad guy bullcrap. The Archie Bunker “everyone should pack heat” nonsense.

Maybe he can parrot this debunked nonsense. What needs to be explained is his idea that people getting killed is proof that God was “judging” unarmed Americans and “blessing” the gun owners.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]“Finally in his mercy, God enables them to win in a battle and rearm,” Pratt explained. “But that must have been one nasty battle, to go into battle with with only two guys with a gun! And everybody else empty handed. So, I would submit that we should not go into battle empty handed.”

“But the only way to avoid that is to be on our knees and to be asking for God’s pleasure,” he added. “If the country comes back to the Lord — as he told Solomon in that great prayer — then he will repent of what he’s done to the country, he will heal the land, restore it and put his blessing upon it.”

“And we should be praying that we will all be able to go around armed because that will be one outward indicator that we have God’s blessing.”
And these people need a forum for this? Thanks, Chris Wallace, for shitting all over twenty dead children. Your father would be proud.

Oh, and never forget Newtown. Here are twenty six reasons why the US needs stronger gun laws.

According to CBS, Domino’s said the delivery drivers worked extended hours inside the restaurant, but still for less than minimum wage — and without tips. Following a meeting with management about the issue, 24 employees were terminated. Currently, the employees receive $6.00 an hour plus tips just to scrape by.

Yes folks, because workers didn’t want to work for less than minimum wage in a non-tipped job, Domino’s fired them. Yes, that’s how you deal with the peon that wants to work and have a job that allows them to eat and live rather than eat or live.

Republicans around the country will rejoice, as shown by the comments section of this Yahoo News story on this travesty. Apparently lost on the conservatives is that these people WANTED to work for minimum wage, not less. But the dismissive “easy job, low learning curve, get more skills, don’t be lazy” meme is still being used and most of the time.

Back to the article. Well, apparently the issue is the excess work, not the job. According to Opposing Views:

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]The delivery drivers make $6 an hour, although minimum wage is $7.25 an hour, because they also receive tips when they make deliveries. Nice little system they have at that store. Work as a driver and if there is nothing to do, do work that is not part of your job and don’t get paid for the extra. Isn’t slavery and indentured servitude illegal?

According to the Yahoo article, the owner of these stores, a Mr. Robert Cookston, decided to do the right thing and re-hired his workers only have this story leaked to the media and the State Attorney got involved. Yes, all it took to get this assclown to do the right thing was a State Attorney’s probe and a media probe.

The store, located in upper Manhattan's Washington Heights neighborhood, agreed to reinstate the fired employees by Sunday, the office said. The workers, 25 in all, said they lost their jobs because they had denounced their wages as too low. "The delivery workers ... were let go after complaining that they were still being paid the 'tipped wage' of $5.65 per hour even though they were performing tasks, like kitchen cleaning, that should qualify them for the state's minimum wage of $7.25," the Huffington Post reported Friday.

What is amazing is that people aren’t outraged at the modern day slavery. What has America become? Get used to it. It’s too expensive to hire Americans to do the good jobs, to those jobs go to places like India and China. While the bosses get wealthy, the rest who were not born to the elite class starve.

Too bad God punishes those who don’t succeed. Ayn Rand and social Darwinism taught us that. But American Idol is on. . .and I hear Domino’s is having a special on pizza today. Buy two and kick the underpaid delivery driver in the nuts for free. Tip optional.

Rick ”Frothy Mix” Santorum seems to be back in the News alot these days. Apparently, Ricky of “Keeping Dead Fetus, Naming It and Tormenting His Children by Showing It to Them Land” is planning another run for president, so the verbal diarrhea keeps coming, in large amounts quickly.

Last week, he was on the news comparing his fight with Obamacare to Mandela’s 25 years in prison for fighting South African Apartheid. . .going as far as saying that the things Mandela wanted to do, did and wanted to accomplish were “not always the right thing.” That meme that Mandela murdered white people got around fast. This week, he’s back on Obamacare with a different line of attack. Obamacare is designed to kill you.

Rick Santorum (R-PA) offered an unusual assessment of what happens when “the government is going to be the principal provider of health care for the country.” “It’s actually a pretty clever system,” the former presidential candidate explained, “Take care of the people who can vote and people who can’t vote, get rid of them as quickly as possible by not giving them care so they can’t vote against you.”

Ummm. . .what? That happens absolutely nowhere in industrialized countries. No where! Not. One. Fucking. Country! (side note: I lived in South Korea with single payer socialized medicine before moving to China. It works amazingly, is cheap and refutes everything Lil’ Ricky is saying now).

Now, instead of death panels, we have voting panels. Some guy in a German accent wearing the Republican Star will look over people:

But the British do have nationalized medicine and Margaret Thatcher never euthanized anyone who voted Labor instead of Tory. Sick man, this Santorum is. He is obviously talking out of his ass, which is where Santorum is made, according to Dan Savage.

So keep spreading that Santorum, Ricky. You might be able to be elected Speed Bump soon enough. Because you will NEVER occupy the Oval Office. Maybe a Rubber Room.

Police: Minnesota pastor told girls he could ‘take the demons out,’ raped them for years

Source: Raw Story

A 61-year-old Minnesota pastor was charged this week with raping two girls for nearly a decade.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported that a complaint filed in Ramsey County District Court on Wednesday said that Jacoby Kindred began sexually abusing the girls when they were only about 6 years old.

After a letter was found referencing sex acts with Kindred, the girls, now ages 14 and 16, disclosed the relationship to their mother. Police were notified in July.

The younger of the two girls told a nurse at Midwest Children’s Resource Center that Kindred began digitally penetrating her at the age of 6. He later forced her to perform oral sex on him and then progressed to intercourse, the girl said.

Top Ten Conservative Idiots of the Week

The Remembering Greatness EDITION

“Now, he is for the ages.” Last week, the world saw the passing of Nelson Mandela, one of the examples of true class an humanity. The world is a better place because of Mr. Mandela and he may never be replaced, if greatness like that can be replaced. However, political vulture (1, 2, 3, 4) decided to either rain on the parade or use Mandela to support their narrow political bullcrap. In other news, Scott Brown (6) is dumb, the CA GOP is dumber (7) and Ted Cruz is the dumbest (10). And as always, don't forget the key. Remember, you can run your mouse over the icon to see what it means. At the end, the writer will give a small tribute to one of the greatest men of the past 100 years.

Sometimes great men are made. Sometimes great men are born. But for every great man made or born are 10,000 morons. Step up Rick Santorum (R-Frothy Mix). Mr. Fecal Matter had the nerve to get onto Fix Noise and compare Mandela’s fight to end Apartheid to the GOP’s fight to deny health insurance coverage to Americans.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]FROTHY: Nelson Mandela stood up against a great injustice and was willing to pay a huge price for that. That's the reason he's mourned today, because of that struggle that he performed. But you're right, I mean, what he was advocating for was not necessarily the right answer, but he was fighting against some great injustice, and I would make the argument that we have a great injustice going on right now in this country with an ever-increasing size of government that is taking over and controlling people's lives, and Obamacare is front and center in that."

Deconstruction time:

01: “Nelson Mandela stood up against a great injustice.” Dismissive at best, racist at worst. Injustice? The torment of black people by racist white people (supported by the US Government because South Africa was anti-Communist) is an injustice? No! Get busted for doing 70 MPH in a 65 MPH is an injustice. Apartheid was state sponsored and sanctioned racism, cruelty, barbarism and subjugation. Similar to the desire to deny gay people the right to marry. . .eh, Ricky?

02: ”I mean, what he was advocating for was not necessarily the right answer.” Yes, I mean, after all, according to St. Ronnie of Raygun, Mandela was a terrorist. And a Communist. And ending state sponsored brtuality and racism is never the right answer. Ask the southern states that supported slavery right until they lost the Civil War. What an asshole!

03: ”we have a great injustice going on right now in this country.”. Leonard Peltier? Gay marriage denials? Life sentences for drug offenses? What injustice are you talking about, Ricky?

04: ”an ever-increasing size of government that is taking over and controlling people's lives, and Obamacare is front and center in that." Health insurance is bad? And it’s the same as being locked up in prison for 25 years for nothing? What a dick!

However, nothing is more insulting than Bill O’Reilly coming out and, in the same article, gassing about

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]The statement, pointed out by Slate's Dave Weigel in a tweet Friday morning, came after Fox News host Bill O'Reilly claimed Mandela "was a great man, but he was a communist."

Based on what, Billy? Your crystal ball? Your bullshit-o-meter? Tea leaves? You people love to throw that word around. It’s one of your favorite attack words.

:::speechless::::

Ricky compares his fight to kill health insurance coverage with Mandela’s struggle and O’Reilly attacks Mandela, then claims he would never do that.

People should be shocked, but this is typical. Wonder what will be said when Aung San Suu Kyi dies in Burma. Probably something like “what she did wasn’t the right answer. The Burmese MIC needs to have control to stop Communists” or some such nonsense.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]

So the dice have been rolled. The talking point has been made. No one who is a good American should mourn the loss of Nelson Mandela because he was a terrorist and communist.

Of course, conservative and Republican lawmakers don’t see it like that, because if they did and spoke out publicly, it would be political suicide. So, they all praised Nelson Mandela with as much praise as they could. Even Ted “Booze” Cruz jumped on the bandwagon. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) [link: https://www.facebook.com/tedcruzpage/posts/10152099242462464|wrote on his facebook] that Mandela "will live in history as an inspiration for defenders of liberty around the globe." One commenter took a different view of the anti-apartheid leader's legacy, urging "all you Mandela lovers head on over to South Africa and see what's going on now that 'Mandela's people' have control of the nation."

Can’t have that! Here’s what a Republican posted on his facebook.

Damn turncoat! White people claiming reverse racism can be assuming if they weren’t serious about thinking they are truly oppressed.

Here are more against Ted Cruz from his followers. Baggers are so rational and intelligent.

Certainly, you may honor him for ridding the nation of apartheid, though you cannot honor the killings and intimidations he used to accomplish this. But he destroyed the economy and he impoverished those he "set free."

02: Mr. Cruz, not exactly. Nelson Mandela was a communist who murdered many people. He caused that capital of South Africa become a place where rate of rape was in first ten at whole world. I won't cry, because in history were many people who were real advocates of freedom.

03: Nelson Mandela was a socialist terrorizer of white Africans, hated Capitalism and didn't think commoners had a right to private property, and thought government should control and distribute wealth …

04: He was a convicted terrorist and a leader in the Communist Party … good grief Ted!!!!

05: I disagree Mr. Senator. Do not fall victim to the media's lies. The man was a Communist, a terrorist and a racist. He was a murderous communist serving in prison for thousands of white murders. Don't whitewash the true history of this murdering villain. Instead of buying into the media glorification, read the violent history of South Africa Marxist murdering scum … I'm done wasting my time thinking about this

Time to get out the primary challenge. Maybe the Texas Baggers can get Fred Phelps to run.

Marco Rubio said “Mandela "showed South Africans and the entire world what the power of forgiveness truly means and can accomplish." Can’t have that! Cue Conservative poutrage!

Damn. . .that second one said Rubio has no balls! Amazing! Racist, ignorant and sexist! Notice the meme! Nelson Mandela = Communist, reverse racist terrorist. Sounds like the same crap these troglodytes scream about President Obama.

Lastly, the Ohio Tearduct spoke up on the passing of Mandela, praising “Mandela's "perseverance in fighting the apartheid system.” Cue the simple sound byte response.

And the media thinks those people should be listened to and their views accepted? Yes. . .there is no difference between Republicans and Democrats. None at all. . .unless one looks at the reality. Then there is a difference, but no one will say that. It isn’t in the meme.

The American leaders of the Civil Rights Movement (Evers, King, Chavez)

I first learned about Nelson Mandela when I watched Lethal Weapon 2 for the first time as a kid. I didn’t understand Apartheid and why Danny Glover was involved in a protest. So, unlike most of my classmates, I ran into the library and just started reading. Then I learned about the plight of Mandela. I remember at that moment, my social conscience turned on. I was ten years old.

I began talking to my classmates about the things I learned. I began beginning the school to help me do something, anything, to stop the injustice. I was ten years old and in 5th grade. Young, idealistic and truly passionate about working to end Apartheid.

As I went into HS and university, I began reading more on Mandela’s life and his struggle. And it began to mold my political outlook. I tried to truly put myself in his shoes and worked on the same issues he devoted his life to. As such, I became a teacher and used my classroom as my forum to work to bring change one student at a time.

There are only a few people that have truly influenced my life. Most died before I was born. Gandhi, Harry Chapin, Franklin Roosevelt. . .Nelson Mandela.

The world lost an angel last week. We lost one of the greatest people to ever live. And now, free of the shackles of prison, of illness, of suffering and of torment, Nelson Mandela’s true greatness as a man and a fighter can be studied, examined and emulated.

This was a man. This was a hero. This is God’s image for mankind.

I never met the man. But he changed my life. Goodbye, Mr. Nelson Mandela.

And thank you for everything.

Education articles like this piss me off so much

http://news.yahoo.com/asian-nations-dominate-international-test-100159386.html

http://l.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/Ma10A5zIA0ya0Ty20iP64g--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7Zmk9ZmlsbDtoPTY0NTtweW9mZj0wO3E9NzU7dz05NjA-/

American students once again lag behind many of their Asian and European peers on a global exam, a continuing trend that often is blamed on child poverty and a diverse population in U.S. schools.

Education Secretary Arne Duncan called the results a "picture of educational stagnation" as U.S. students showed little improvement over three years, failing to score in the top 20 on math, reading or science.

Students in Shanghai, China's largest city, had the top scores in all subjects, and Singapore, South Korea, Japan and Hong Kong students weren't far behind. Even Vietnam, which had its students participate for the first time, had a higher average score in math and science than the United States.

These results again raise the question of whether the United States is consistently outperformed because of the widely varied backgrounds of its students. Some are from low-income households, for example. Others don't have English as their primary language.

As an A-level and IGCSE teacher in China, these results are to be expected. The education here is to teach to a test. Same when I was in Korea. All students are taught to a test.

Chinese schools do not fail students. Lowest grade a kid can get is a 70. If they get lower, they keep taking the same test until they pass it, then that score is recorded. The schools encourage teachers (usually with classes of 60 - 70) to teach to only the kids who care and are not asleep in class. Social promotion is the norm, as is lying about grades. All that matters in China is Gao Kao. The Chemistry teacher in my school goes nuts because they cannot conceptualize a simple chemistry concept. I teach Geography and History. Same in my classes, especially history.

I taught in the crappiest public school in Hebei province and now in one of the best international school in Suzhou. Education in Asia teaches to to a test. They are some of the best test takers in the world. Knowledge retention, conceptual development, abstract thinking, critical analysis and innovation are impossible for most students here. The test is most important. I hate articles like this. TESTS DO NOT SHOW THE ENTIRE STORY!!!

Top Ten Conservative Idiots of the Week (Graphic Warning on #6)

The Slimmed down EDITION

Okay, it’s the week of Thanksgiving. Apparently, conservative idiots can’t do stupid things and speak moronically while filling their face with turkey, celebrating the sanitized holiday that honors invading white people killing off the native populations. Happy Thanksgiving, all. But, some still manage to dumb or say some crap. Congressional Republicans (1) are worthless, Mitch McConnell (3) is brainless, Bob McDonnell (7) is jobless , Pizza Hut (9) is shameless and Sarah Palin (10) is clueless. And as always, don't forget the key. Remember, you can run your mouse over the icon to see what it means.

It’s now December and it’s time to look at everything the Republicans have done or allowed to be done this year in Congress. Hint: It isn’t much.

Wow. 52 bills and most are meaningless crap like naming something else after Ronald Reagan. 52. Damn. Bills. Way o justify that single digit approval rating, folks!

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Legislators either weren't able to pass or ignored completely more pressing issues such as passing a long term budget, dealing with climate change, reforming immigration and finding a compromise on food stamps. There's a chance Congress may not pass its annual defense spending bill or address sexual assaults in the military by the end of this year, either.

Yes. . .because naming a public outhouse is more important than dealing with issues that are destroying the planet, country and the economy.

And everyone knows sexual assaults aren’t real because she was wearing a tight skirt. Besides, she won’t get pregnant because the body has protections and shut-off valves in case of legitimate rape. And everyone know no rape is legitimate.

Their approval rating is five points higher than crotch rot and they earned every point of it. Worst. Congress. Ever!

One of the reasons Congress sucks as much as it does is because of Speaker of the House, John “the Ohio Tearduct” Boehner.

You see, Orange Glo has a problem. The tea party Congressmen don’t trust him, his leadership team doesn’t like him and most, if not all, Democrats don’t respect him. Politically, he is impotent. Professionally, he’s past his prime. But he still gives off that Orange Goodness through those massive tear stains on his face.

Anyway, according to Mother Jones:

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]Over the past month, the House and Senate have been working to come up with a compromise farm bill—the five-year piece of legislation that funds agriculture and nutrition programs. The main sticking point is the level of cuts to the food stamp program. House Republicans want to cut $40 billion from the program, while the Senate wants to trim $4 billion. Last week, the talks fell apart, and the two sides are fighting over why.

Wow. Maybe that near negative number approval rating isn’t justified. There is working in the two chamber to help farmers. Usually farm bills are loaded with more pork than a ham sandwich, but the working together is a start.

Maybe Speaker Tearduct will help the process.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]A Democratic aide tells Mother Jones that House Speaker John Boehner shot down several informal compromise farm bill proposals because the food stamps cuts were not deep enough. Boehner's spokesman denies this.

Oh, not surprised. Speaker Worthless McOrangetears needs to balance the budget on the backs of the poorest, most vulnerable of Americans. And of course (to quote the Young Turks) Orange Crush’s mouthpiece denies it. Can’t do anything to make the boss look worse. HE does a good enough job of that himself.

Please continue.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]The Democratic aide says the joint House-Senate panel that is trying to work out a deal presented Boehner with a few proposals that contained food stamps levels close to what the Senate wants. Even though Rep. Frank Lucas (R-Okla.)—the chairman of the House agriculture committee and a top member of the compromise panel—was willing to give a lot of ground to the Senate on food stamps, he says, Boehner rejected the proposals. "Boehner is playing spoiler," he adds. "That's why fell apart."

So there was compromise. There was working together. There was bipartisanship. And the Speaker of the House screwed it all up.

2014 is coming and November is a long time away. One wonders how tissue and vodka sales will be around Boehner’s office the day The Worst Speaker in the History of Forever has to give the gavel back to the Best Speaker in the History of Forever, Madame Nancy Pelosi.

Mitch McConnell is one of the most slimy pieces of tweed to ever sit in Congress. His passive aggressive projection, his hypocrisy, his flag-like approach to any issue. He has no convictions, no courage and little brains. And last week, he showed he has no shame either.

Time to listen to a quote Turtle-boy gave to the media through another mouthpiece (why can’t these people talk for themselves).

This wasn’t true – he voted against VAWA in 1994, 2012, and 2013 – and instead of defending his record, McConnell tried to mislead the public.

Well, maybe that was just three mistakes. I mean, I’m sure he will explain himself as to why the VAWA was so bad. Maybe he’ll do it after a rousing round of wife beating jokes. You know something about telling your wife someone, two black eyes and not having to do it again. Hyck, hyck, hyck!

Oh well, so in The Chinless Wonder’s eyes, beating women is a-okay. Maybe women’s pay is different.

Because, their great-grandparents might have come in contact with the man who carried the pants of the man who lived next to to the woman who might have known Obama’s father, which proves Obamacare is a sham.

Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la, la la la la. . .deck the halls with pink slips and slander if you decide to celebrate! We all need to be at work on every national holiday. Screw tradition and your family, fa la la la la, la la la la!

Yes, it’s the holiday season. . .enough avarice to last an entire year. Pizza Hut decided to jump on the holiday spirit bandwagon by firing a middle manager that refused to work on Thanksgiving. The man’s name is Tony Rohr and he has worked for Pizza Hut for more than 10 years.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]When he refused to open on Thanksgiving Day this year and force his employees to work, he says, he was told to write a letter of resignation. Rohr told CNN affiliate WSBT Wednesday. "Thanksgiving and Christmas are the only two days that they're closed in the whole year. And they're the only two days that those people are guaranteed to have off to spend with their families."
Rohr told the affiliate he refused to quit and detailed his frustration in the letter.
"I accept that the refusal to comply with this greedy, immoral request means the end of my tenure with this company," he says he wrote. "I hope you realize that it is the people at the bottom of the totem pole that make your life possible."

Wow! I wish I knew this guy. What a model citizen! And a model leader. He fell on the sword for his fellow employees against an act of corporate tyranny and greed.

This crap gets worse as the restaurant Rohr worked at went into full on spin mode.

"As a result, we strongly recommended that the local franchisee reinstate the store manager and they have agreed. We look forward to them welcoming Tony back to the team."

Thank God this has a happy ending. Still, how many of Rohr’s bosses will be fired for this shit? I guess none.

Killjoys. Surely there is one better.

Sure, Rob Delaney “has been named the “Funniest Person on Twitter” by Comedy Central and one of the “50 Funniest People” by Rolling Stone, according to his website. But let’s face it – no one is funnier than Sarah Palin. She doesn’t even have to try. After all, they’re claiming she “wrote” this in “English” — punk’d, because we can tell by the bitterness that it came from the very angry person that is Sarah Palin.

Top Ten Conservative Idiots of the Week

The Nuclear Bomb EDITION

So, the Democrats finally did it. They dipped the filibuster ball into manure and shoved it down the throats of the GOP. Of course, there is self-righteous indignation on that side over it (1). In other news, the Miami Gardens PD is racist (3), as are Young Texas Conservatives (4), Michelle Bachmann is insane (6), filthy rich CEOs hate the old (9) and the two largest American businesses hate their employees (10). And as always, don't forget the key. Remember, you can run your mouse over the icon to see what it means.

He finally did it. Harry Reid let that little cancerous tumor he has develop into a fully functioning backbone. After years of threats, letters and pretty much selling the farm to the Republicans, Harry Reid instituted the nuclear option. No more filibusters of judicial nominees. Straight up or down votes. Amazing, isn’t it? The Republicans have had their one weapon of obstruction taken from them. Now, American people won’t have to listen to how a nominees for the bench needs to be blocked because some old, white, fat Republican senator feels slighted because his viagra isn’t working or his mistress didn’t have sex with him the night before or just because it’s Tuesday.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]The Senate voted on Thursday to eliminate the use of the filibuster against most presidential nominees, a move that will break the Republican blockade of President Obama’s picks to cabinet posts and the federal judiciary. The change is the most fundamental shift in the way the Senate functions in more than a generation.
The vote was one that members of both parties had threatened for the better part of a decade, but had always stopped short of carrying out. This time, with little left of the bipartisan spirit that helped seal compromises on filibuster rule changes in the past, there was no last-minute deal to be struck.
The vote was 52 to 48.

So, what did Republicans have to say? Well, let’s look at the things Republicans had to say about judicial nominee obstruction when George W. Bush was pResident. It should be enlightening.

[div class="excerpt" style="background-color:#F4E0E0; border:1px solid #E8C0C0; box-shadow:-1px -1px 3px #C66666 inset; border-radius:0.6em; margin:0.5385em 0em 0em 0.5385em;"]1. Mitch McConnell (KY)
“Any President’s judicial nominees should receive careful consideration. But after that debate, they deserve a simple up-or-down vote” (5/19/05).

“Let's get back to the way the Senate operated for over 200 years, up or down votes on the president's nominee, no matter who the president is, no matter who's in control of the Senate” (5/22/05).

2. John Cornyn (TX)
“[F]ilibusters of judicial nominations are uniquely offensive to our nation’s constitutional design” (6/4/03).

“[M]embers of this distinguished body have long and consistently obeyed an unwritten rule not to block the confirmation of judicial nominees by filibuster. But, this Senate tradition, this unwritten rule has now been broken and it is crucial that we find a way to ensure the rule won’t be broken in the future” (6/5/03).

3. Lamar Alexander (TN)
“If there is a Democratic President and I am in this body, and if he nominates a judge, I will never vote to deny a vote on that judge” (3/11/03).

“I would never filibuster any President's judicial nominee. Period” (6/9/05).

4. John McCain (AZ)
“I’ve always believed that [judicial nominees deserve yes-or-no votes]. There has to be extraordinary circumstances to vote against them. Elections have consequences” (6/18/13).

5. Chuck Grassley (IA)
“It would be a real constitutional crisis if we up the confirmation of judges from 51 to 60” (2/11/03).

“[W]e can’t find anywhere in the Constitution that says a supermajority is needed for confirmation” (5/8/05).

6. Saxby Chambliss (GA)
“I believe [filibustering judicial nominees] is in violation of the Constitution” (4/13/05).

7. Lindsey Graham (SC)
“I think filibustering judges will destroy the judiciary over time. I think it’s unconstitutional” (5/23/05).

8. Johnny Isakson (GA)
“I will vote to support a vote, up or down, on every nominee. Understanding that, were I in the minority party and the issues reversed, I would take exactly the same position because this document, our Constitution, does not equivocate” (5/19/05).
James Inhofe (OK)

“This outrageous grab for power by the Senate minority is wrong and contrary to our oath to support and defend the Constitution” (3/11/03).

10. Mike Crapo (ID)
“[T]he Constitution requires the Senate to hold up-or-down votes on all nominees” (5/25/05).
11 . Richard Shelby (AL)

“Why not allow the President to do his job of selecting judicial nominees and let us do our job in confirming or denying them? Principles of fairness call for it and the Constitution requires it” (11/12/03).

Orrin Hatch (UT)
Filibustering judicial nominees “unfair, dangerous, partisan, and unconstitutional” (1/12/05).

Seriously? They actually said these things. Filibustering is bad when the Democrats do it to people like Harriest Miers and threaten it with people like Sam Alito and John Roberts who are completely unqualified, as is/was Clarence “Justice Oops” Thomas. But Republicans think it’s good when the president is a Democrat.

That is called being stunningly and embarrassingly full of shit. Something the Republicans have been for decades.

Superior Court with misdemeanor cocaine possession and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

As the father of a young son and a husband to a loving wife, I need to get help so I can be a better man for both of them.”

Then shouldn’t you explain that to your voters. “Hi, I’m Henry. I’m an alcoholic. Please vote for me over the liberal drug addict that wants drug legalized.” And if you are an alcoholic, why are you caught with cocaine? Shouldn’t the work be Cokehead?

What makes it worse is people like this want stiffer punishments for drug offenders.

I wonder if, with his drug and alcohol problems, he would be more compassionate towards those the state of Florida wants to drug test to get welfare? Trey, could you answer this simple questions please?

Save that face! Polish that turd! It’s committed to harassing people going to work 258 times in four years? It’s committed to falsifying police reports?

Is anyone surprised at the obtuseness of the answer and the lack of reply?

There is more at this link, but sad to say it’s completely sickening. Mr. Sampson needs to sue the pants off everyone involved. . .the cops that harass him and lie, the police fat-cats that enable it and the city that supports them! Earl Sampson needs to go from “Earl Sampson, resident of Miami Gardens” to “Earl Sampson, owner of Miami Gardens.”

That is called being stunningly and embarrassingly full of shit. Something the states run by Republicans have been for decades.

He added that members of the chapter feared retaliation.

I see how it works. Dress them up in a peasant shirt, sombrero, pockets of tamales and a bottle of Tequila. Have them speak “illegal alien” (as G. That's the line from top Senate Republicans, who have magnified their smear campaign against the law's so-called navigators, groups that have received federal money to assist people in enrolling for coverage. Their latest shot: darkly warning that Americans could put their personal and financial safety at risk if they seek out assistance.

Now the ACA will steal your information and sell it to people. . .next the GOP will claim the ACA raped their mother and molested them when they were children. The document, the product of a series of closed-door strategy sessions that began in mid-October, is part of an increasingly organized Republican attack on the Affordable Care Act, President Obama’s signature legislative initiative. Republican strategists say that over the next several months, they intend to keep Democrats on their heels through a multilayered, sequenced assault.

The idea is to gather stories of people affected by the health care law — through social media, letters from constituents, or meetings during visits back home — and use them to open a line of attack, keep it going until it enters the public discourse and forces a response, then quickly pivot to the next topic.

Let’s go over the checklist of GOP political victories.

01: Civil Rights - lost
02: Women’s right to vote - lost
03: Income Tax - lost
04: Environmental laws - lost
05: Child labor laws - lost
06: Minimum Wage - lost
07: New Deal Legacy Laws - lost
08: Medicare/Medicaid - lost
09: 18+ voting age - lost
10: Gay marriage - lost

Time to add ACA to the list.

Eat slowly, poor wastrel slob. We aren’t going to pay you, but we’ll teach you how to eat the crumbs you have efficiently after we work to put you on food stamps, even though you have a job.

How can we end this gallivant into greed? Why, returning to Wal-mart.

Enjoy Thanksgiving. Now get back to work, slave! But we support our workers.

This is what is called being stunningly and embarrassingly full of shit. . .oh, you get the point!

See you next week.

Living in China part 1 - Basic Chinese language lesson

Six years in the PRC, I am pretty much fluent in the language. Still working on the writing part of the language, but speaking and reading is pretty good now.

In China, if you can read about 1,000 characters, you can read a newspaper with ease. So, let's begin with the lesson.

Writing Chinese is rather simple. I will use Simplified Mandarin because I am on the Mainland and not in Taiwan or Hong Kong.

There are three basic rules:

01: Left before right
02: Top before bottom
03: Outside before inside

Let's take a simple character 口. That's "kou," and it means mouth or opening.

To write it correctly it's very simple.

01: write the left down stroke first.
02. write the top stroke and the right down stroke next without lifting the pen
03. fill in the box.

Let's take another. 江 which means "river." This is jiang (pronounced gee-on-guh).

01: write the three dashes first top to bottom
02: write the top stroke
03: write the downward stroke
04: write the bottom stroke

Stroke order is extremely important in the language. Trust me, Chinese people can tell if the character was written in the correct order by looking at it. It's a bit frustrating for beginners, but you pick it up quickly.

Practice with these ten simple one:

见 - jian, means look
十, shi (pronounced sure), means ten
太, tai (pronounced tie), abverb too
火, huo (pronounced who-oh), means fire
公, gong, means public
女, nv (the v should be a u with an umlaut over it), means woman
三, san, means three
小, xiao (pronounced she-ow), means small
大, da, means big
园, yuan, means garden

Mandarin is not a difficult language, except for the tones. The thing is, when people talk, I don't hear the tones at all. I just hear the speaking. What makes it easier is context. If someone is talking about men, 男 (nan) means man. They don't mean 南 (nan) which means south.

It is getting colder here in Suzhou. What is amazing is the sea convection currents around here. Shanghai, no matter the weather conditions, during the day, is always five degrees warmer than here in Suzhou, which is less than 30 miles away.
