Oh God, Ryan's wife is Dan Boren's cousin.

Just heard on MSNBC.

Is it Bob McDonnell?

Romney desperately needs to win in Virginia. McDonnell is a right wing bible thumper. But isn't he too extreme?

Is Romeny's plea a sign of weakness a sign of weakness, or pretext for unleashing super PAC's?

I am not so sure Romney is scared so much as the Republicans are looking for their excuse to unleash the super PAC's between the conventions and election day. They used the 1988 Democratic convention to explain the attacks against Michael Dukakis. When John Mccain said that George W Bush 'Lies like Clinton', Rove cranked up the South Carolina smear machine. This smells like a similar setup. So let's not get cocky and assume Romney is crying 'No mas'.

Republican entertainer Randy Travis threatened to kill Texas state troopers.

Randy Travis threatened to shoot and kill the troopers who arrested him for drunk driving last night ... this according to the Grayson County Sheriff's Office.

The GCSO tells us ... officers received a call at 11:18 PM from a person who stated there was a man lying in the roadway. When cops arrived to the scene, they noticed Travis' 1998 Pontiac Trans Am had driven off the road and slammed into several barricades in a construction zone.

Travis was initially arrested for DWI -- but once he was inside the cop car, officials say the singer threatened to "shoot and kill the Troopers working the case."

As we previously reported, Travis was NAKED ... and rode bareback while he was being transported to the station.

Bachmann supporter Randy Travis Leaves Jail in Paper Suit After Naked DWI Arrest

Randy Travis left a Texas jail this morning in a brand new suit ... a paper suit ... after cops found the country singer NAKED at the scene of a DWI car wreck.

TMZ broke the story ... officials say Travis had no clothes on when they arrived to the scene of his car accident late last night. They also say Travis was drunk off his ass ... and arrested him for DWI.

After transporting a naked Travis to a nearby jail, officials forced Travis to put on the paper suit ... which he was allowed to wear home.

It's possible Travis wasn't entirely naked during the arrest -- since he was wearing a U of Texas hat on the way out of jail, it's possible he was also sporting the headwear at the crash scene.

What do Micheal Page and Michelle Malkin have in common? They visited Stormfront

Today, a volunteer human-rights group called Responsible for Equality And Liberty (REAL) linked the gunman, Wade Michael Page, and his band, “End Apathy,” to Stormfront, a white supremacist website run by a West Palm Beach man.

Don Black has been running Stormfront from his home since about 1995, records show. The site is a forum with posts varying from the foundations for white nationalism to health and fitness.

The website greets visitors with this message:

“We are a community of White Nationalists. There are thousands of organizations promoting the interests, values and heritage of non-Whites. We promote ours. You are welcome to browse our seven million posts, but you must register before you can post to any forum except those designated as open to guests.”

If the police leaks seem familiar, from the dozens of times America has attempted to exorcise its demons in the course of a single criminal investigation, so should the half-baked investigation undertaken by Wagist.com and widely disseminated by eager skeptics. The blog's conclusion — based on a photo of Martin's friend throwing a sign, a comment from a friend who "need[s] a plant," a reference to "[swinging] on a bus driver" — is that Martin was a drug dealer involved in gang life. (They also write several paragraphs about his tattoos: "Sabrina," his mother's name, on his wrist, and a larger piece on his arm which says, as far as I can tell, "Nana.&quot The one thing you can say in favor of Wagist.com's investigation is that it confined itself to the internet life of the real Trayvon Martin. Michelle Malkin's bizarre Twitter news site Twitchy posted an image macro over the weekend featuring a photo of the wrong Trayvon Martin. (The same image was featured on white supremacy message board Stormfront, where Business Insider picked it up.)

It's worth noting that nay of Malkin's articles are cited by Stormfront posters.

Southern Poverty Law Center tracked Wisconsin shooter.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, a group that has studied hate crimes for decades, reported Monday that Page was a frustrated neo-Nazi who had been the leader of a racist white-power band known as End Apathy.

Heidi Beirich, director of the center's intelligence project, said her group had been tracking Page since 2000, when he tried to purchase goods from the National Alliance, a well-known hate group.

The National Alliance was led by William Pierce, who was the author of "The Turner Diaries." The book depicts a violent revolution in the United States leading to an overthrow of the federal government and, ultimately, a race war. Parts of the book were found in Timothy McVeigh's getaway car after the bombing of the federal building Oklahoma City in 1995.

Beirich said there was "no question" Page was an ardent follower and believer in the white supremacist movement. She said her center had evidence that he attended "hate events" around the country.

U.S. flag falls during Serena Williamsís gold-medal ceremony at Wimbledon

As "The Star-Spangled Banner" played, the crowd gasped as the American flag broke free of its crossbar and floated down behind a purple barricade between the stands and the court.

That left the flags of Belarus (bronze medalist Victoria Azarenka) and Russia (Sharapova) dangling above the medal podium. The champions shared a laugh on the podium at the unexpected visual. After winning gold, Williams acknowledged the windy conditions.

This became the most awkward moment of the women's final, replacing the previous leader, aka the dude who screamed "MARIA, I STILL WANT TO MARRY YOU!" as she was getting demolished in the second set by Williams ...

A question we're sure many Americans are asking: Should the IOC or London Olympic officials apologize for this?
