Email PROBE: Intel Officials NAMED in Clinton's Email Could Be FBI's Reason For Indicting Hillary

-snip-

And yet, when confronted with the findings of the report, Hillary Clinton maintained that all the hullabaloo surrounding her email probe is simply the result of a “mistake” that she committed during her time as the Secretary of State. As it turns out, however, using her “convenience” argument is not the only time Clinton has fallen back on fabricated truths to justify her actions. The report also showed that Clinton was fully aware of repeated hacking attempts by an allegedly Russian-state-sponsored hacker, with her then-IT chief even completely shutting down the server in 2011 to prevent classified data from being compromised.

-snip-

John R. Schindler, a former National Security Agency analyst, wrote in the Observer that his source who is “privy to some of FBI’s findings” is certain that Clinton’s server was breached several times, thereby jeopardizing national security. “We know (her email server) was hacked numerous times; it’s that simple. If I were Vladimir Putin, I’d fire the head of the SVR (Russia’s foreign intelligence service) if he didn’t get a good look at Hillary’s emails when they were sitting in plain sight online.” Schindler then went on to suggest that intelligence agencies around the world, including that of Russia, China, and Iran, must know more about the email exchanges of Hillary Clinton than the American public does. If this accusation turns out to be true, Hillary Clinton could brace herself for a mountain of legal trouble coming her way. It could be the basis on which the FBI might indict Hillary Clinton under the Espionage Act.

“These new revelations — reminiscent of the Valerie Plame scandal during George W. Bush’s tenure — could give FBI investigators the evidence they need to make a case that Clinton violated the Espionage Act by mishandling national defense information through ‘gross negligence.'”

According to the Act, “if classified material” is made accessible to an “unknown person” due to negligence, it can lead to 10 years in prison — 15 if the information identifies a U.S. covert agent. According to Brietbart News, Clinton did exchange the names of intelligence officials on her unprotected server, and if Schindler is right, foreign intelligence agencies and governments must already have been feasting on the treasure trove of information that Hillary’s “mistake” helped them gain access to.

If covert CIA agents were identified in the emails that were shared by Hillary Clinton, and if the emails were vulnerable to hacking, it could be the basis for FBI’s criminal indictment of the Democratic front-runner. Gathering from all the evidence we have in front of us at the moment, it very likely seems to be the case. As a result, Hillary Clinton’s email troubles could lead her to prison.

Bernie Sanders’ Allies ADD PRESSURE On Democratic Rules Committee Co-Chair Gov. Malloy

A liberal activist group allied with Sen. Bernard Sanders questioned Friday the ethics of Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and the “appropriateness” of him leading the rules committee at the Democratic National Convention this summer. Democracy for America joined other liberal groups in calling for Mr. Malloy to replace Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Kathleen Wade over conflict-of-interest concerns in the proposed merger of health insurers Anthem and Cigna, which formerly employed Ms. Wade.

The group said Mr. Malloy’s inaction “would legitimately call into question the ethics of our state government and, by extension, question the appropriateness of the Governor’s leadership position in the national Democratic Party and its upcoming convention.” The rules committee will be a key player when Mr. Sanders takes his insurgent presidential run to the July convention in Philadelphia and attempts to wrest the nomination away from front-runner Hillary Clinton. The Sanders campaign last week called for the DNC to remove Mr. Malloy and former Rep. Barney Frank as co-chairs of the rules committee, citing their role as “aggressive attack surrogates” for Mrs. Clinton.

The DNC rejected the request.

Democracy for America has now added allegations of corruption to the case against Mr. Malloy.

“Voters in both parties are fed up with backroom deals and conflicts of interest that allow those in government and their friends and family to profit at the expense of working families,” said Jim Dean, chairman of Democracy for America. “After the Rowland administration’s legacy of graft and the damage it caused our state, it is vital that the Malloy administration and all Democratic leaders in Connecticut walk the walk in the fight against corruption or get out of the way.”

DNC Platform Chair RAISES CASH From Health Ins.,Appoints Fmr CIGNA Lobbyist As Regulator Of CIGMA

DNC platform chair raises cash from health insurers, appoints fmr Cigna lobbyist as regulator of Cigna merger

BREAKING-

DFA calls for CT Gov. Malloy to replace Anthem-Cigna merger regulator, citing interest conflict

Today, Democracy for America joined Connecticut Citizen Action Group (CCAG) and other allies in urging Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy to replace Insurance Commissioner Kathleen Wade as the key regulator in the Anthem-Cigna insurance merger -- or risk calling the state's ethics or his "appropriateness" as a national Democratic leader into question.

Democracy for America is a national progressive political action committee with 1 million members nationwide and 18,488 members in Connecticut.

On Thursday, CCAG and its allies issued its initial calls for Malloy to take action on this clear case of conflicted interests.

Here's a statement from Connecticut resident and Democracy for America chair Jim Dean on the organization's decision to call for Malloy to remove Wade:

"Democracy for America joins with the Connecticut Citizen Action Group and its allies in calling on Governor Malloy to replace Insurance Commissioner Kathleen Wade and end the clear conflict of interest she has in the government's due diligence process over the Anthem-Cigna merger. In addition to immediately replacing Insurance Commissioner Wade, Governor Malloy needs to lead an open, public, independent, and transparent process regarding the Anthem-Cigna merger.

"The Connecticut working families who will bear the costs of further insurance industry consolidation in the Constitution State deserve to know that their Governor and his administration is fighting for their interests, not investors who want to profit from less competition.

"Anything less than an open, public, independent, and transparent process surrounding the Cigna-Aetna merger would legitimately call into question the ethics of our state government and, by extension, question the appropriateness of the Governor's leadership position in the national Democratic Party and its upcoming convention.

"Voters in both parties are fed up with back room deals and conflicts of interest that allow those in government and their friends and family to profit at the expense of working families. After the Rowland Administration's legacy of graft and the damage it caused our state, it is vital that the Malloy administration and all Democratic leaders in Connecticut walk the walk in the fight against corruption or get out of the way."

Hillary Clinton SUPER-LOBBYIST Says “We’re NOT Paid Enough,” Pans Obama Lobbying Reforms

vimeo.com/169158790

...So said the Clinton lobbyist.......

Leading Democratic super-lobbyist and Hillary Clinton bundler Heather Podesta derided President Obama’s lobbying reforms Wednesday, while laughing off concerns about her own sky-high compensation.

“I think Obama hurt himself by taking such an arms-length posture with the Washington community,” Podesta, a multi-millionaire who has represented chemical companies, health insurers, and for profit-colleges, told Vox.com’s Ezra Klein. “By attacking Washington in that way, there was a bit of a brain drain. And a lost opportunity.”

As for the idea of taking money out of politics, “I just find it preposterous,” she said. It is “not the lobbying class that keeps people from taking hard votes, it’s the member themselves,” Podesta claimed. The interview was held on Facebook, and a question came in from a viewer: “If lobbyists don’t have more power and influence than a regular person, why are lobbyists paid so much?”

“I think we’re not paid enough,” Podesta replied with a smile, as she and Klein shared a laugh.

Bernie Sanders to Hillary Clinton: Yes, Trump's Foreign Policy Ideas Are Scary. But SO ARE YOURS

Bernie Sanders responded to Hillary Clinton's foreign policy speech on Thursday with a hit at her credentials, including her involvement in the Iraq War and so-called "regime change" in Libya.

"We need a foreign policy based on building coalitions and making certain that the brave American men and women in our military do not get bogged down in perpetual warfare in the Middle East," he said in a statement. "That's what I will fight for as president."

Earlier Thursday, Clinton gave a speech that laid out her own foreign policy agenda and criticized presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump for his "thin skin" and "dangerously incoherent" ideas.

"Americans aren't just electing a president in November, we're choosing our next commander-in-chief, a person we count on to answer questions of war and peace, life and death," Clinton said. "The person the Republicans have nominated for president cannot do the job."

On that point, Sanders agreed. However, he added, Clinton wasn't much better.

"I agree with Secretary Clinton that Donald Trump's foreign policy ideas are incredibly reckless and irresponsible," he said in his statement. "But when it comes to foreign policy, we cannot forget that Secretary Clinton voted for the war in Iraq, the worst foreign policy blunder in modern American history, and that she has been a proponent of regime change, as in Libya, without thinking through the consequences."

His comments fell in line with much of the progressive sector's response to Clinton's speech, which included criticism from journalists and policy experts such as Jeet Heer of The New Republic, Glenn Greenwald of The Intercept, and Sam Husseini of the Institute for Public Accuracy.

Bernie Sanders SCHOOLS Trump on Climate Change in California

PRESS RELEASE

Sanders Schools Trump on Climate Change in California

JUNE 2, 2016

MODESTO, Calif. – Calling Donald Trump “a climate change denier,” U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Thursday said bold action is needed to combat the planetary crisis that the Republican White House hopeful dismisses as a “hoax.”

At a news conference, Sanders also challenged Hillary Clinton to join him in supporting a carbon tax to limit burning the fossil fuels that scientists blame for climate change.

And Sanders urged his rival in Tuesday’s California primary to support his call for a nationwide ban on fracking to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

“This is a crisis of unbelievable magnitude,” Sanders said of climate change. “Burying our heads in the sand and taking contributions from the fossil fuel industry is not going to solve this problem,” he said.

“I urge Secretary Clinton to appreciate the severity of the crisis and join me in telling the fossil fuel industry that yes there will be a tax on carbon,” the Vermont senator added.

Sanders spoke at a news conference here in California, where a devastating five-year drought has resulted in severe water shortages, dangerous wildfires and massive heat waves.

Trump, who is poised to become the Republican Party presidential nominee, has asserted that there is no drought in California. He also has called climate change a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese. “This is so ludicrous that it really would be funny if the future of the planet were not at stake,” Sanders said.

Sanders has proposed a comprehensive plan to tackle the worst effects of climate change. He has introduced legislation in the Senate to put a tax on carbon and cut emissions by 80 percent by 2050 from 1990 levels.

Sanders news conference was held before he spoke to 2,500 supporters at a rally in the Modesto Centre Plaza. It was the 28th rally his campaign has staged in California since May 9 in Sacramento where he began a drive to speak directly to a quarter-million Californians in advance of Tuesday’s primary.

Hillary Clinton's Foreign Policy Speech MARRED by Inherent Contradictions

"Hillary Clinton's history of supporting interventionism puts her in a weird place to be portraying her opponent as trigger happy."

-snip-

The speech, delivered in San Diego five days ahead of California's June 7 primary, lambasted the presumptive Republican nominee as "temperamentally unfit" to be President of the United States. The full remarks are here.

"Americans aren't just electing a president in November," Clinton said, "we're choosing our next commander-in-chief, a person we count on to answer questions of war and peace, life and death. The person the Republicans have nominated for president cannot do the job."

Clinton noted that Trump has praised leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korea's Kim Jong Un, quipping: "I will leave it to the psychiatrists to explain his affection for tyrants." But that was just one of several statements that raised observers' eyebrows, in a speech that some said was full of fundamental contradictions—and hinted at Clinton's own hawkish positions. After all, as journalist Robert Parry wrote in April, "If Clinton becomes President, she will be surrounded by a neocon-dominated American foreign policy establishment that will press her to resume its 'regime change' strategies in the Middle East and escalate its new and dangerous Cold War against Russia."

Glenn Greenwald ✔@ggreenwald

Awkward: Hillary to give a speech on the very thing Dem pundits have spent a year desperately trying to ignore: her foreign policy.

#Clinton just put military action against Iran back on the table and criticized Trump for wanting to be "neutral" on Israel/Palestine

Listening to this speech & Clinton's words on Iran, Russia, & Israel, SHE sounds like the neocon candidate. Why can't Kristol run her?
