Occupy is anti NATO all over twitter. Will this alienate people? I thought Occupy did so well

because they allowed for multiple realities regarding inequality and power and not because they were anti any mainstream organization. I mean Occupy was supported by more than 50% of the people because they didn't take specific anti-anything tactics, except for the 1% having too much power.

The GOP has done away with the long form type census in the USA, and they are at war over

information. The long form census was canceled by the Conservatives in Canada too. They say it is about privacy in the USA. In Canada they would not say why they wanted that policy. I think the right wing want all information in the hands of corporations. The information gleamed from the long form census used to go to the public through the government. Policy was created from that. Regulations would come from that data. Business decisions would be made. All with free public information on that great market: America. By getting rid of government's role in garnering such free information, corporations will & have stepped in with market research. Only organizations and businesses big enough to be able to afford to buy such information will get it. And that means big corporations. Mid sized corporations no longer exist because of deregulation. So small business and the people (government too) will be shut out or have one hand tied behind their backs where information is concerned.

The GOP also want the experts to be working at private universities, not public universities. That way they will not take their expertise and regulate corporations because they are not there to help the public. Plus, all in all, if you have to pay a corporation to get information on anything...that limits the number of people who will have access to the information to entities with a lot of $$$. Thus the corporations can run amok and develop new markets based on different assumptions than those available to the general public or soon to be impoverished governments, with the general public and government having much, much less relative information than they have now. Good information will no longer be a public good. The bankers did have new algorithms on human behaviour when they developed the new 'subprime' loan markets and derivatives markets. That went well (sarcasm mine). Markets fail when all the players don't have 'perfect information' to make the best economic decisions on both sides. When one side is basing their decisions on old assumptions or lack of information, the other side wins. A transfer of wealth takes place. From the uninformed public to the well informed corporations. Another way the GOP wants to do in the middle class. And they claim there is a war on the 1%. Once again they are projecting.

It's war for sure, that whole neocon/Rumsfield asymmetric warfare thing again that they want, only with information as the weapons and the might. Let us not allow them to foment inequality in information like they have done to income in the past 30 years.

According to Wikipedia:

"SNIP.............................................

"Asymmetric warfare" can describe a conflict in which the resources of two belligerents differ in essence and in the struggle, interact and attempt to exploit each other's characteristic weaknesses. Such struggles often involve strategies and tactics of unconventional warfare, the "weaker" combatants attempting to use strategy to offset deficiencies in quantity or quality.[1] Such strategies may not necessarily be militarized.[2] This is in contrast to symmetric warfare, where two powers have similar military power and resources and rely on tactics that are similar overall, differing only in details and execution."

Plus all those rich big wigs who have invested heavily in the oil industry (stocks & futures).

That is who fox is really broadcasting for afterall when they ask 'are lower gas prices a bad thing'.. I thought the GOP were a little subdued and fair to Obama when oil prices were high. Didn't they say it wasn't his fault? Seems the rich truly are disconnected from regular Americans who find high gas prices hard to live with. Seems fox really is the propaganda arm of the rich investors. Seems the GOP wants high gas prices for more than just political reasons: they have their investment portfolios to worry about.

The GOP are making their base angry on how Obama has 'used the bin laden issue politically' so that

the base or independants will not cede any territory (beliefs) to Obama on the bin laden issue. Anger does that. It prepares you to fight for territory without any sober second thoughts. So when they make their base angry, they make them stubborn and closed to any new idea or feeling (gratitude towards Obama for getting bin Laden).

With the corporations acting to co-opt systems, economies and industries they keep good information

from reaching the people. Monsanto buys an organization that thinks Monsanto is guilty of declining bee syndrome. The Prison industrial complex tries to stop the legalization of marijuana. Banks give loans to people not remotely qualified to pay them back. The corporations/industries are making up a "reality" as they go.

The main assumption in all economic models is that 'given perfect information' markets will find equilibrium. Well if the co-optocracy is out there destroying 'good information' then market failure will result as it did with the housing bubble.

This election season Democrats must fight with all their emotions. Happy people are nice, open and

pollyannaish. This means they are a little delusional and don't see danger but they can also connect well with others and cooperate to do great things. Angry people are a little out of sorts so that they can defend their territory to the nth degree or grab little more territory. It is sad people who are the least delusional. You can't be sad all the time but every so often you should be, just so you can touch base with reality and put yourself on a better path to get what you need and dream of. Being sad will allow you to see your own weaknesses as well as how to better judge of other people, including your foes. Explains why the GOP keep their base ANGRY. They gain territory in the public sphere that way. Democrats need to get angry to they can fight back and take the country back too. They did with Occupy and it worked. Why we see the GOP trying to dial down the anger on the left by labeling them (being against the 1% buying government is class warfare). Labeling is a tactic psychopaths use to fool good people into changing their behavior & change their thinking on how they are acting. So Democrats you need to be angry, sad and happy in this elections season. Bring all your emotions to this election and you bring your A game.

Is there a debating site out there? You know where the right and left could have an online debate

on the issus that would be rated by viewers to see who wins. And the winner then goes on
to the next round meeting up with a foe from the opposite party who won their last round too?
Cause when we really discuss the issues in detail the GOP loses. They are all smoke and mirrors.
Viewers could offer talking points to the person 'up' on their side as the debate progresses. A debate could
go on for days. Viewers/participants would register as either a democrat or a republican.

This Trayvon Martin case ****s them up. How are you supposed to judge someone harrassing

you & following you on the street after this? Same as racism cause it is racism. It is a big piece of shit the world has put on these kids young lives which traumatizes them. I mean the police and the lawyers are having a hard enough time dealing with the this specific case and they have had weeks ........ how they hell are 17 year old boys supposed to be any wiser in the seconds it took for this to happen to Trayvon.

All this "let's control womens' vaginas" meme in the GOP about freedom for conservative men from

sublimating their testosterone desires to control women's sexuality, women's time? Does it imply that either men or women have to sublimate to coexist? (women have historically sublimated their various needs to fit cultural expectations until the womens' movement set them free). Cause that is bull****! We have to stop the GOP from re-sublimating women in the name of FREEDOM for men to be hierarchical & immature.

I know. And since Obama is living in reality, he cannot possibly make speeches about living in

a post racial world. So all those racists conservatives will see themselves as morally superior to him because they don't see race and Obama does. The GOP will box Obama in that way.
