It will be a supreme irony if a question from Mitchell ends up key to Kavanaugh's confirmation

Mitchell was hired by the Republicans to put a woman’s face and voice front and center at the questioning of Dr. Ford. The last thing they wanted was video and audio of all of the male Republicans pressuring Dr. Ford. They paid Mitchell to bring her prosecutorial skills to bear on Dr. Ford.

They kept Mitchell in to question Kavanaugh to create the illusion that they were being ‘fair.’ That all stopped when she asked her question about Kavanaugh’s July 1st calendar entry and Lindsay Graham abruptly and bombastically redirected the process away from Mitchell and back to the Republican Senators.

So did any of the Republicans actually cede their time to Mitchell or was that extra add on time

for Republicans in Kavanaugh questioning section only?

Blumenthal by accusing Blumenthal of impugning Renate in even asking the question about Kav’s reference to her in yearbook?

So, was Lindsay's performance aimed at persuading some Republican whose vote is in doubt?

Today's Republican talking point, as hammered by Mitchell, Kavanaugh and Graham:

Coordinated and funded by Democrats.

Of course, that was completely proved to be untrue by Ford’s and her attorneys’ answers.

Still, they’re sticking with it.

and notes how he reframed the charge from sexual assault to sexual intercourse.
It’s a very interesting catch by her. All that blather from him about being a virgin and not having intercourse was part of his attempt to reframe the accusation and couch his denial in terms that were different from the accusations.
