Maybe I pushed outside the edge of the envelope (vaccines)

Decided to get everything over with at once, so I took:

covid-19 booster
Quadravalent flu shot
RSV vaccine
shingles vaccine.

Two on each arm.

It's been 4 hours since, and I can barely lift my arms more than 30 degrees without soreness and pain.

Have big swollen knots below where the vaccines were injected. Let's hope they subside.

Worth it, though.

As an unbiassed critical thinker, I'd like to know the benefits of being eaten by sharks

Or, is it better to be eaten by by piranhas?

Certainly weight loss is one benefit, but are there others?

Should we recommend this therapy to our MAGA acquaintances?

Collective Stupidity -- How Can We Avoid It?

When we come together in groups we can be so much more than the sum of the parts. But sometimes groups are just much more stupid. Collective stupidity is the flipside of collective intelligence, and we see it a lot on social media. Why are groups sometimes collectively stupid and sometimes not? What can we do to be more intelligent in groups? In this video I explain the most important points.

Crabs in a Bucket - The Republican Majority in the House

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crab_mentality

The metaphor is derived from anecdotal claims about the behavior of crabs when they are trapped in a bucket. While any one crab could easily escape, the claim is its efforts will be undermined by others, ensuring the group's collective demise.

The analogous theory in human behavior is that members of a group will attempt to reduce the self-confidence of any member who achieves success beyond the others, out of envy, jealousy, resentment, spite, conspiracy, or competitive feelings, to halt their progress.
