My God. Armed standoff at House front door.
Where's the tear gas or boiling oil?
Imagine if a group of people of color did this? Jesus. Itd be a bloodbath
A few takeaways from last night:
I must confess that my biggest shock of the night was the advertisement for a womens sanitary product which used a red material instead of the usual blue liquid. I am a student of advertising, and my jaw literally dropped. All that being said Id like to comment on Mr. Kornacki.
During the interval between the declaration of Biden as president-elect and yesterday, Kornacki had a basically pre-recorded shtick. It went like this: The good news for the Democrats is that they seem to have large numbers voting who normally vote Democratic. The good news for the Republicans, slyly implying that its better news, is the Democrats have not won a runoff in Georgia in About 12,000 years. He repeated this on every single show in which he appeared. Unceasingly. When I would listen to him I would mouth the words as they came out of his mouth.
He began last night with that mantra, and as things begin to evolve you could see him dispense with that, appropriately, and begin calling the horse race. My objection to his prequel mantra is that he was fundamentally saying your past is behind you but your future is yet to come. If you dissect his statements he was saying that a lot of people had voted, and the past is probably prologue. Well, I couldve told you that before any election. And I dont wear khakis.
Since he obviously is a ratings grabber, MSNBC delegated whole portions of the show to his weirdly confusing monologue even when he had nothing to say wherein he just repeated the same statements which he had made 90 seconds prior. Now again with that being said, I switched to CNN and tried to listen to John King who has a delivery as if he were reading list of Civil War dead in a movie. He was muttering under his breath and speaking in such short sentences, that it was unnerving and I had to switch Back to the manic Kornacki. On the way, Going over to Fox, they had some documentary which I found very amusing. The RW movement has all the coping skills of a three year old.
I would only add the for her efforts in saving American Democracy, Stacy Abrams should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
This reminds me of the race for Virginia Senate years ago
I forget who the Rethug was but hed made some really stupid statements and he was ahead all night and then the big cities came in and they lost and iirc lost the Senate as well.
Anybody else just see the Biden "secret agenda" ad on MSNBC?
OMFG.
Started with him wanting to defund the police and progressed from there. Told people to call a Congress to question his nominees on their secret agenda.
They are starting already....no surprise but we will get not a moments rest.
