Lauren Boebert widens lead over Adam Frisch, thousands of ballots still remain in Pueblo County

Early in the third day of of the 2022 midterm election, incumbent U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert overtook Adam Frisch with a small lead in the race, but thousands more ballots have yet to be counted.

As of 1:21 p.m. Thursday, Boebert led Frisch by just 794 votes at a slim margin of 50.13% to 49.87%, according to vote tallies from the Secretary of State’s Office. Previously Frisch held an even more narrow lead with just a few dozen votes.

But the race is far from over. Pueblo County Clerk Gilbert Ortiz confirmed to The Denver Post that his office has yet to count about 1,800 in-person votes, 5,200 mail-in votes and is in the process of verifying the signatures of another 500 more ballots. Ortiz’s office is expected to filter updated vote counts to state election officials throughout the day.

The remaining votes could give Frisch a chance to regain the lead: So far, Pueblo County voters leaned toward the Democratic candidate from Aspen 54% to Boebert’s 46%.

If DeSantis was smart he would take a sledgehammer to Trump now

Right now Trump is about as weak as he has ever been in the public eye. This is the perfect time to pounce on him. Any Republican trying to play nice with Trump is going to look weak. If DeSantis put the gloves on and said something like "Trump is the Democratic Party's best friend because all he does in helps the Democrats win." Then called him, "A sore looser, a lousy business man who can bankrupt any casino in record time and the only reason he isn't in jail is because of his Daddy's money." I think the GOP base would be shocked, think about it for a bit and then suddenly they would have their new Alpha male to worship.

I could be wrong but knowing what impresses these Neanderthal Republicans, I think that would be the best strategy. Trump would hit back hard but DeSantis would just have to keep shredding him and the material at his fingertips would be endless.

I don't see Trump ever getting more than about 42% of the vote. He wants to try and steal it again

He has to know he is damaged goods and has no chance other than to try and get some idiots to say the election was stolen. I hear folks like Maher say he could pull it off but I'm not buying it, especially the way the midterms are going. I think even a huge number of Republicans know he would be pulling BS. Even if a couple of swing state electorates said he won when he didn't, I don't think it would hold up in the courts and the military would not be on his side.

Thoughts on what he is up to and how an attempted steal from Trump might go in 2024?

Looks like crazy election denier Mark Finchem will lose the AZ Secretary of State election

This fucking dude is bad news and having him run the elections in an important swing state like AZ would have been terrifying. He's down by 100,000 votes right now and looking at the exit polls, I can't see how he could pull this out:

Matthew Dowd nail the election as if he was reading a crystal ball

Thank you GenZ for saving the country. Fox News told one truth and called out the Republican Party. Matthew Dowd nailed it again.
