seafan's JournalFormer Gov. Bob Graham goes on 60 Minutes to talk about Saudi/911 hijackers connections
Tonight.Graham has been trying to get President Obama to declassify a 28-page report on a Saudi family that lived in a gated Sarasota community where some of the pilots visited in the weeks before the attack. The family fled about 10 days before September 11, leaving a wave of questions investigated by the FBI.
Graham, a former Senator who chaired the Intelligence Committee and co-chaired a joint commission that investigated the attacks, says the report would prove the pilots had support from high-ranking Saudi officials.
The 28-page report was not released in the Commission's final report concluding that the 19 hijackers acted without assistance when they hijacked three passenger planes and crashed them into the Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania.
When he started questioning the omission in 2011, top FBI officials detained Graham and his wife at an FBI office at Dulles International Airport in an apparent attempt to talk the longtime Florida official into dropping his efforts.

State Department wants limits on questioning of Clinton aides
Source: Politico
Top aides to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton should not be questioned about an ongoing FBI investigation into the presence of classified information on her private email server or about the substance of the messages that were exchanged, as part of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, the State Department said in a court filing Tuesday night.
In the new submission, the State Department continued to object to depositions of former Clinton aides and other officials in the lawsuit brought by the the conservative group Judicial Watch, but U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan ruled in February that he would permit "narrowly tailored" discovery about the unusual private server set-up used by Clinton during her four years as America's top diplomat.
.....
"State submits that the scope of discovery must be limited and specified at the outset to prevent questioning that exceeds the limited inquiry that the Court has authorized," the filing from Justice Department laywers says. "Based on the Courts statements at the February 23 hearing, State understands the scope of permissible discovery to be 'the reasons for the creation of (the clintonemail.com) system.'"
"State respectfully submits that the Courts order should specify that discovery is limited to this topic. To that end, State requests that the Court clarify that Plaintiff is not entitled to discovery on matters unrelated to the topic identified by the Court, to include without limitation: the substantive information sought by Plaintiff in its FOIA request in this case, which involves the employment status of a single employee; the storage, handling, transmission, or protection of classified information, including cybersecurity issues; and questions about any pending investigations," the submission says. "State objects to any discovery requests pertaining to the FBIs pending investigation into matters referred to it by the Inspectors General of the Intelligence Community and State in connection with former Secretary Clintons use of a private email server."

This stonewalling must stop.
Also using her position as Secretary of State to funnel millions into the coffers of the Clinton Foundation must not escape scrutiny, and must be addressed via discovery, as these actions reveal intense conflicts of interest.
The Clinton aides hold many of the pieces to the public exposure of these conflicts, and it must occur before voters make decisions about our next president.

It is time to move past these ongoing decades of duplicity, greed and destruction. They have no place in the vision most Americans now have for our future.
It looks as if the deleted emails have been found.
I would wager that this deleted "personal" correspondence revolved around the deals she made as Secretary that would directly benefit the Clinton Foundation. As I'm sure you already know, this is another of several angles of FBI investigation now underway.
It's certainly going to be an interesting year.
The FBI investigation, it now seems, is the chopper in her rear view mirror.
From the LA Times, March 27, 2016:
.....
Prosecutors also are expected to seek an interview with Clinton herself, though the timing remains unclear.
.....
The interviews by FBI agents and prosecutors will play a significant role in helping them better understand whether Clinton or her aides knowingly or negligently discussed classified government secrets over a non-secure email system when she served as secretary of State.
The meetings also are an indication that much of the investigators' background work recovering deleted emails, understanding how the server operated and determining whether it was breached is nearing completion.
The interviews are critical to understand the volume of information they have accumulated, said James McJunkin, former head of the FBI's Washington field office. They are likely nearing the end of the investigation and the agents need to interview these people to put the information in context. They will then spend time aligning these statements with other information, emails, classified documents, etc., to determine whether there is a prosecutable case."
....
Lawyers for her closest aides Huma Abedin, Jake Sullivan, Cheryl Mills and Philippe Renes either did not respond to messages or declined to comment.
.....
In August, the FBI obtained the server and has since recovered most, if not all, of the deleted correspondence, said a person familiar with the investigation.
FBI agents have finished their review of the server and the correspondence turned over by Clinton to the State Department. They have interviewed a number of former aides so they could better understand how the system was used and why Clinton chose to use it, the person said.
From the WaPo, March 27, 2016
.....
Early on June 17, 2011, Clinton grew impatient as she waited for talking points about a sensitive matter that had to be delivered via a secure line.
They say theyve had issues sending secure fax. Theyre working on it, Sullivan wrote his boss.
Clinton told him to take a shortcut.
If they cant, turn into nonpaper w no identifying heading and send nonsecure, she said.
.....
Security remained a constant concern. On June 28, 2011, in response to reports that Gmail accounts of government workers had been targeted by online adversaries, a note went out over Clintons name urging department employees to avoid conducting official Department business from your personal email accounts.
But she herself ignored the warning and continued using her BlackBerry and the basement server.
.....
Clinton lawyer David Kendall later told the State Department that her use of personal email was consistent with the practices of other Secretaries of State, citing Powell in particular, according to a letter he wrote in August.
But Powells circumstances also differed from Clintons in notable ways.
.....
Powell conducted virtually all of his classified communications on paper or over a State Department computer installed on his desk that was reserved for classified information, according to interviews. Clinton never had such a desktop or a classified email account, according to the State Department.
So, as Secretary of State, she never had a classified email account, because 'it wasn't convenient' for her????
How can that type of judgment be allowed to stand, as she thrust incalculable risk on our national security, notwithstanding her repeated use of her position as Secretary of State to benefit the bottom line of the Clinton Foundation?

Thank you for this, Judi Lynn.
The moribund M$M are such cowards to run away from their obligation to ask Hillary Clinton about her role in pushing this coup onto the people of Honduras.
This is something voters should know about when she comes calling for their support. This, alone, should rise to disqualification in running for president, because it is a harbinger of how she would conduct future foreign policy.
When people repeatedly show us who they are, it is wise to believe them.

In an open letter addressed to the Constitutional Court of the Supreme Court of Justice, Zelaya called for the nullification of a decision declaring his re-election unconstitutional.
.....
In 2009, democratically-elected Zelaya was ousted by the Honduran military, allied with opposition parties. The coup against Zelaya was widely condemned by governments across Latin America, the European Union, the Organization of American States and other regional blocs.
The coup has come back into the spotlight recently as campaigners remember the role played by Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, in the illegal coup.
She admitted in her autobiography Hard Choices, that she used her power to shift the crisis into a favorable position for the U.S., even if it meant forgetting about democracy.
We strategized on a plan to restore order in Honduras and ensure that free and fair elections could be held quickly and legitimately, which would render the question of Zelaya moot, she admitted in her book.
Furthermore, the political vacuum created by the coup has spawned years of state violence with impunity, most recently seeing the assassination of the renowned activist Berta Caceres.

EU Slams Israel over Latest Settlement Expansion in Palestine
Telesur, 18 March 2016The statement comes a week after Israel seized 579 acres, or 234 hectares, of Palestinian land near the Dead Sea and the Palestinian city of Jericho. It represents the biggest land seizure in recent years.
Israels decision to declare 234 hectares near Jericho in Area C of the West Bank as state land is a further step that risks undermining the viability of a future Palestinian state and therefore calls into question Israels commitment to a two-state solution, the EU said in a statement.
.....
Israel's Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories explained the March 10 seizure as having been made in accordance with the decision of the political level and the examining of the professional authorities, who have declared the territory to be state lands. The land is eventually supposed to be used to build tourism and other commercial facilities.
The EU reminds Israel that further settlement expansion is illegal under international law and represent an obstacle to peace, [which] will only drive the parties to the conflict even further apart, the EU said.
It's one of several issues that she stonewalls any discussion.
She will have to answer for her role in the ongoing, immense suffering of the people of Honduras.
And in Haiti.
Pressure Mounts on Kerry to Take Action over Honduras
Source: Telesur
A group of 730 leading Latin American experts and scholars have condemned the assassination of Honduran activist Berta Caceres and urged U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to halt aid and support to Honduras until the Central American country improves its atrocious human rights record.
Despite Honduras worsening human rights conditions, the U.S. is providing an aid package to the region, the Alliance for Prosperity in the Northern Triangle, the signatories said in a statement.
The scholars letter calls for U.S. sanctions on Honduras until the murder of Berta Caceres is properly investigated with the assistance of international human rights investigators.
The huge group of academics join a growing list of influential figures putting pressure on Kerry to take action after the killing of Caceres.
Also Thursday, U.S. representatives Hank Johnson and Keith Ellison, alongside 60 other colleagues, wrote to the secretary of state to request his support in combating human rights violations and rampant impunity in Honduras.

Much of the backstory on these atrocities here, and of the role of former U. S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in her deliberative support of the coup overthrowing the elected leader of Honduras, which has now led to ongoing murders of activists and supporters of human rights, together with the flood of child refugees into the U. S.
