WOW! That says a whole lot, in just eight words.
Yep! I like that, too!
SOMEBODY needs to throw Mike Pence's "Christian" hypocrisy back in his face! Not yet ready to leave the Inslee camp, but this young guy made a humdinger of a formal "debut."
I actually got choked up during the part in his speech wherein he didn't want to go back 20 years to relive that time, but rather to find himself back then, a young man deeply uncertain about "how he can fit into this world" and tell that youngster that he was gonna be okay.
VERY moving. That was an incredibly moving moment, a very personal monologue. I frequently hear the word "authentic" in reference to Mayor Pete. He's DEFINITELY that. He's gonna get a massive boost from this announcement speech. For many potential voters, this will probably be the first time they've had a chance to give him a listen, and get a sense of who he is.
Color me impressed. VERY impressed.
I already liked the guy. But his debut as a formal candidate was damn near electrifying! How 'bout "Make America Hopeful Again"?
Not quite ready to abandon Jay Inslee. But he's not catching fire (makes me sad to say that - even sadder to see it), and this kid (sorry - I'm almost 66. He's still a kid, to me) Buttigieg just absolutely rocketed out onto center stage today.
"Running for office is an act of hope."
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG...
BOOM! BOOM-SHAKA-LAKA-LAKA!
GOOD! It's the least that karma can do to them!
I read an item about some unnamed White House insider saying Kirstjen Nielsen is so damaged from working for trump that her future is pretty much ruined. Or, as they put it, "unhireable."
Would YOU hire her for something? For anything???
FUCK!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent!!!
Whenever this is over, I suspect most of 'em will find their way back "home".
Back in the embrace of the most miserable, godless, and most thoroughly un-American excuse for a legitimate political party that there has ever been.
No kidding.
"First they came..."
And of course, the first thing too many of the rest of us then do - is forget that sorrowful lesson.
