Even anti-gay agitator Anita Bryant finally came around to that.

She suffered so many consequences for using her stardom and name recognition to step into the spotlight for negativity and glaring public prejudice that her career and reputation were destroyed. So much for the “Florida Sunshine Tree”.

She was the high-profile commercial spokeswoman for the Florida orange juice producers - until this. The firestorm of negative publicity that grew out of her equally high-profile anti-gay agitation cost her that gig.

Indeed!!!

I wanna know, too.

Yeah, he was "at work"... being an overtly and aggressively racist asshole.

Hope he REMAINS in custody for while. So maybe he can stop and think. And reevaluate a few things.

A teachable moment, maybe.

Living for years in earthquake country, one of the best tips I heard was to make sure everybody in the family had the same out-of-state contact number. Phones might be down in the affected area but there may be more reliable connections with different systems across the country, where the wires or antennae are unaffected by whatever hit your area. Make sure one relative or close friend at a distance is your family’s contact. And THAT’S who everybody checks in with.

That main central contact can then relay messages to everyone else and let them know who’s reported in and how they are.

No kidding. There's a LOT of that going around.
