calimary's JournalThat is GOOD news!
I started, years ago, making it a habit to complain if I went into a business establishment - ANY kind of business establishment. And if they had Pox Noise on their TV in a waiting room area, I either asked to ha e the channel changed, or, sometimes Id just do it myself (particularly if I was the only one in the waiting room/area).
Sometimes Id even pull out the I was a news reporter for years, and the lies they spread on that channel are seriously offensive to me as a professional truth-teller.
I wouldnt tolerate it back then, and I STILL dont tolerate it now.
Ive found that most proprietors are willing to accommodate a paying customer (or a perceived paying customer). The only time it failed was at a restaurant at the Camarillo Airport where the maitre d confessed that the owner insisted on keeping Pox Noise on the big screen TV on the wall in the entryway of the restaurant. It was the first thing you saw as you approached whoever was there seating people. And I thanked the maitre d and asked him to tell the owner how he lost a customer and all her friends permanently - for THAT one reason. CONSEQUENCES!!! CONSEQUENCES FOR BAD BEHAVIOR!!!
And for the record, Ive always been polite about it. Always. With a smile. It can disarm, at times.
Totally. Nothing but a world-class conman.
No wonder he declined to take the stand.
Ay-yi-yi...
Heroic! The video that shook the world.
